Pinks in beta (devs confirmation please)

There seems to be mixed answers when I ask around on this. Are there any pink drops in beta? I hear that there are, and that there aren't. Could a dev confirm which?

It's only logical that they disabled pink drops for the beta.

There would be at least one pink drop by now, especially seeing that there is players with thousands of kills already.

OMG, there are players with LOTS of kills. It does seem fair if they did disable pink drops. It's not like keeping people from leveling :)

Exactly, players may be able to get a level head start, but not a item head start. Could you imagine? 15 level 20 pinks on cs first day of launch?

Yes, everything in the beta will be transferred over to the official version of the beta. The devs said that it's actually as simple as downloading a patch, and it will go from beta, to full version.

I was sitting in the blackstar ship and I think I remember G telling a player there wasn't any pinks in the beta, after a player asked.
