They probably been doing that, but its easy to change IP and stuff theyre on the spamming business so they know how to probably avoid these st

Why not just implement a filter? (And not this 120s/post one because it affects players more than our friend the bot)

well then i propose new accounts cant post anything for 48 hours and when they can only 1 thread per day
plus other forums not naming them have ways to avoid vpns
I dont know how they do it exactly though however when you log in with a VPN the site says too many invalid requests from this IP

Well some websites use CloudFlare, an anti-DDoS software. So when an IP sends too many requests, CF forces that user from that IP to correctly complete a CAPTCHA in order to access the site
