Eye gems and para socked items

With all the investments alot of us has spent on these gems and since we will soon be able to convert them into noble gems would it be possible for us to remove them from our gear so we can convert? Just a question

Gems are not removable. Only jewels so therefore you can't remove gems that are socketed
