Depends on which one we are speaking. My first bear: a month. Mage: about 4 days. Both without elixirs. My bird and second bear: one day for each!

Not long at all when I actually started lvling. Maybe 2 weeks? of casual lvling (starting at 30). I remember I did 40-45 in one day. The lower lvls were the worst, my bird was a lvl 30 Iceberg twink back in the olden days, I was one of the first hehe
