Thanks sts for your kindness. But I have a few question here. Do everyone get 2 60min combo elixir and a 45 crate keys? Why some of my friends including me didnt get any crate keys? And why the other player get only one combo elixir??

I got both the crate keys and VIP elixirs. Then I checked my alt crate opener and had crate keys as well. So, essentially, any account that's opened a locked crate gets the keys I believe. That account also had purchased platinum, so it could also be a factor.

Hey folks! You may have noticed that you and your friends received some gifts in your stash today! To celebrate the expansion release, we granted 60 min combo elixirs to everyone's stash to offer a little bit of a head start on the new content.

Additionally, we granted some Crate Keys to a very small set of randomly-selected players to see how they are received. We plan on making Crate Keys widely available in the very near future.

I think He/She is saying that the gold back vanities weren't given to players randomly like how these crate keys and combo lix's were given. Back vanity were gifted specifically to players who had old accounts and played AL from the beginning, hence the reason why they're "veteran" vanity.

The lix and keys seem to be given out of pure random luck..

Maybe those who get the keys are suppose to be a tester of this new item. STS can get many information, like how many will use the keys to open locks, how many will sell them in auction and for how many gold they sell them.

All this in consideration to help STS determine the value of these crate keys so they know how much plat to sell them later in Store.

If they do plan to distribute the keys later to even the books, maybe the testers won't get the keys then. Anyway, stay optimistic!

I think the reason why not everyone has received crate keys is because StS probably wants to see how they affect the balance of the game i.e crates being opened by plat AND non plat users, how it impacts supply/demand of crates, prices and amount of mythics/arcanes in game etc.
To give absolutely every single player access to keys without having any idea how its going to change the game would have been a bad move. Yes it can be deemed unfair but it's no different to a handful of people sampling a new product or recipe in real life. As announced in Remi's update we will see more of these in game soon I think they just want to find the best way to make them available first without it completely breaking the economy even further...

Only for accounts active between expansion release and the patch for distributing the kits. People would be too busy on their main then. You wouldn't get an outcry like this because then, everyone would've gotten them, but only (mostly) one kit apiece. What happened now is that some have multiple kits but others have none, and this is where this complaint is stemming from.

I think why the majority of people Complaining, is not because they didn't get the keys in their stash, not because those "random" (RNGs aren't actually random) few got a box of keys which they can use to unlock crates and have a chance at some high leveled/very good item.
but because those key boxes aren't tied to the account. Which means, those lucky few are able to sell those in the CS and get some free gold out of it.

What I think should of happened for "Testing Purposes" would be to add them to the stashes of those random few but keep them untradable.
Because so far, all I can see out of this "test" is that the random few are banking on selling these keys.

So how well are they really received? Not very well.

1 normal = 5 keys/plats
1 large = 10 keys/plats
1 massive = 15 keys/plats

make another account. it is not possible in an account with 2 or more charac slots to get keys, because your stash shares all of your character

Elixirs and crate keys can be found in your stash, not inventory. It is granted per account, not character.
