Well I'm lvl 13 and my exp bar won't move. I'm not sure what to do. I have a bad feeling that I need to buy stuff with my iTunes account? :(

Sorry, But you do need to buy "Map Pack" to get higher levels.
The highest level you can get so far is 25, But mentioned in this post ---> "Read This" (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?126-Level-cap)

You got to 13 for free.
Enjoy the game? Pay the devs. Simples.
And for what we've got (+potential) it's much cheapness.

yes the game is fun...but im a poor student that is trying to make it. that means i have to find money that i dont have to play more....

When I get to the point in my life that 2 dollars is such a stretch - i put the game down and get a job.
I did buy the map pack and I am still stuck at lvl 13 no xp. I beat lvl 10 and 11 and have made no xp off it so far :/

Now I know why I stopped gaining levels. Can you only gain more levels by using the map pack or will the free levels also gain XP so long as you have the map pack?

You must play in the new levels to gain XP. The Dark Forest, for instance, is designed for levels 10-15 but you can max out at 18. After that, you get the next map pack and go up from there. But you must play on the new maps.

Dear all..I need some help. I just purchase The Dark Forest pack and my level is 14. I can't seem to gain experience anymore..

Jackson make sure you are playing in the Dark Forest and not in the beginner free zone.

I find it hard to believe that a "poor student" has an iPhone.
Seriously, if forking out $2 is a crisis for you, then I think you really need to re-evaluate your finical situation and perhaps do something about it.
