What keeps you motivated in PL?

With SL coming out, it's going to be hard keep me motivated for PL.

So, my question is. What keeps you motivated in PL? So far, I am thinking of becoming a collector. I have a sizable collection already and hoping to expand on that. What about y'all?

Right now, friends. Once SL comes out, the new campaign will be my motivation.

Friends :) but sometimes having a lot of gold keeps me motivated also.

What keeps me motivated, is leveling up. What used to be my motivation was getting a Mega Mage (or) Shadows set. But now I'm looking forward to leveling up to 50 and buy my friend's creepy doll. She names him Igor (cute ain't it?) :o

Friends, mostly. And trying to get better in all the char classes. I'm for sure ready for both the PL update and SL, though. :D

ETA: meeting and helping (where I can) new people and still trying to get an Immortal to a respectable level (aaaarrrggh!) also keep me motivated. That last is also what keeps me frustrated in PL. ;)

On topic, two things:
-making new twinks.. powerleveling them, wasting tons on elixirs, then deleting them after ~1k kills.
-Haikus, I love this guy. Makes any run/game interesting.

Short answer, nothing. I tried making a level one and got bored after about 10k kills, tried making an immortal and got bored around level 38. Every now and then I play on my main for the daily quest rewards, but overall just getting pretty bored with the game atm.

Anyone come up with anything new to kill a few hours/days?

make a lvl 50 mage palidan wearing rift set with hammer. and go maul in pvp. 320 damage means you do thousands in skill damage

I think what keeps me motivated in PL is hardcore dungeon smashing adventures with friends, pumping up my char., the infinite ways to customize your character whether it be stats, weaps, skills, etc. And watching my friends lvl up all fom the comfort of my phone. How awesome is that?

As of now, my main motivation has been to finish all the quests and level to 56 (but I found leveling tedious at 55 :|). I guess after 56, I'll have to wait until the updates.
I might do more pvp and start saving up money for new gear after the updates :)

I have tons of goals left, but I do a lot of sitting around, checking CS and being goofy. Haven't had as much time the last week or two though. Boo :(

I don't get bored easily but almost everything in life has a boredom threshold which eventually arrives.

Not playing much PL ATM. My motivations were;
Level 3 alts to 56 - nope only one so far.
Complete all quests - miles away.
Get into PvP - why would I even want to. I simply can't stand rudeness..
Help/meet new players - still enjoy this especially those that are receptive and grateful.
Keeping one eye on the forums and Facebook - sadly this is what I do most currently.
A small handful of great friends - I miss my in game friends but RL is busy ATM. Logging in isn't a 5 minute deal.

Spending time playing SL currently and very busy in RL with family, work and hobbies. Need more hours in the day.

I never tire of reading some of the fun stuff on the forums. Kossi ur endless positivity has me in stitches. Where have you been hiding? LOL

I'm putting my chips down for SL PvP being a lot better... given a fresh start they might be able to design it better. PL is too partitioned into levels/gear and lack of easy organization of pre-sets and guild teams and keeping track of the best-o-the-best and leaderboards and achievements etc.

PvP should be a great distraction from a cool PvE narration/power/level-up gameplay but it needs the above structure to work imo otherwise it just ends up being an afterthought...

Currently I've gone back to playing Outer Empires (v basic graphics, but love the sandbox world and motivation is long-term gameplay and expansion eg open-pvp, factions-player-run, combat, mine, trade, mod ships etc...) if you can get past the graphics and a bit of early grind it's cool.
