Ummmmm last time i checked,rogues were the ones that did all the crits... The proc is the screen shot below. A few things to note is that it procs super often. When the fire spreads, it deals ticks depending on the enemies affected per tick. For example,if its just 2 enemies, one of the enemies gets the dot and the dot spreads to the other enemy,both enemies will receive 2 ticks of damage for every one tick because it was spread between 2 enemies.

For now it may be better to buy that epic staff that looks kinda like a spark plug. Those coins need to be saved.

Is the weapon worth buying?
It definitely is. It really excels in crowd control and can proc the egg-shell band like crazy. It can also burn through health extremely fast.
