Hey everyone! Most of you know me as MegamanIX or Ecuas from SL... with the impending full release of the game, I thought it was high time to consider creating my own guild. I know most of the beta crew has a guild affiliation already, but for any of you still on the fence, I present to you, Sardaukar, the Terror of the Galaxy! What I'm looking for are specialists... high level players from both SL and PL, who enjoy doing certain things (eg. PvP, CS monitoring, leveling, etc.). My thoughts for the guild are as follows:
- A full blown PvP only team (I mean killers, who have good kill/death ratio from PL): Guild funds or high level gear would be used to wager on team matches, with each member of the team receiving a 5% cut of total winnings. With a 5-man team, that's a total 25% share for your time and effort!
- One or two farming teams: The team(s) would be responsible for doing several farming runs each day, and bringing loot back to the guild hall. And coin earned would be yours to keep, and the items farmed would be sold in CS, and the proceeds garnering each team member 5% of sales. *The reason behind this "profit sharing" concept is to generate coin for the entire guild, which can be used by members (upon request) for item purchases, pots etc. *
- A leveling team: Responsible for helping lower level members level...it's as simple as that. All coin and gear obtained via leveling runs may be kept, since serious leveling runs take an exorbitant amount of time (especially around the level cap).
- A couple of people to monitor CS: Prices change constantly, and some people are better than others at recognizing price swings, changes in drop frequency, supply and demand, etc. The guild will need a couple of people who are "experts" in these matters, so we can move gear from farming runs, PvP wins, etc. I'm fully aware of who the main players are in the PL consignment arena, and I would love to have a couple of you on board.
*I would be looking for one or two officers per team (8 total, excluding myself). I will front the money for the top of the line guild hall, so everyone can have access to discounted stimps and enhancers, and I'll be charging no dues at all. The only thing I ask for is that your commitment level be high, and that you respect both the guild structure, and the STS terms of service (I won't tolerate beggars, leeches, or belligerent people, so if you fall into those categories, you need not apply). I am also willing to create an alt to handle the guild bank, if enough people deem it necessary, but those of you who know me in-game, know that I'm a straight shooter, and never con anyone. I will be creating the guild with my main, Ecuas, so if you see me around, and want an invite, let me know, and we'll go for a trial run or two; I want to know you can flash the skills! lol. Outside of that, if you feel you'd be a good candidate for the guild, post here with your IGN (even if you're not in the beta...I can find you on PL if you want), your character build, and I'll get back to you. And please guys... I don't need a thousand PvE guys... like I said earlier, I want specialists, people who enjoy doing one thing and doing it well. Of course, everyone will have time to do their thing, independently, but considering there is no real guild structure in SL at the moment, I feel clearly defined rolls are easiest for everyone.
**I will also encourage guild members to give each other small discounts (think 2%-5% off of gear that you otherwise, won't be using. It's a team after all, and we gotta stay "pinked up" once the time comes! Lol. Thanks for reading all of this guys, and hope to see you soon!
