View Full Version : When will Star Legends Launch? The Monday Edition

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your enthusiasm for Star Legends! We know you're as excited for the game to fully launch as we are to bring it to you!
You know the old saying, "No News is Good News"? I'm not sure if that applies to this situation, but hey, we can try, can't we? :o
Currently, we do not have a specific release date for Star Legends launch. It continues in it's beta state on Verizon's V CAST while we work with Apple for approval. Once approved, Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles will launch to all available channels, including the Apple App Store and the Android Marketplace.
We are very excited to get Star Legends into the hands of everyone who wants to play it. We will post here further when more information becomes available. Thanks as always for your support - Spacetime Studios Games' wouldn't be anything without you, our fans!

Everywhere I read it said most apps get approved within two weeks or less :/

Sam, to the extent you can tell us, is there anything specific that you are working with Apple on at this point? Have they asked for anything from you and/or do you have a timeframe for a response? I know you are saying you have no news but the implication of continuing to "work with Apple for approval" is that there is a specific problem that needs to be worked out.

I speak car... at this point, STS has the engine built, idle was adjusted in beta, no fuel leaks or misses in the cylinders, and the ignition system is golden. Now all apple has to do is finish inspecting this hot rod before they hand the keys over to the market.

I probably won't actually play. I got old waiting and now I can't get Wi-Fi in the Retirement Home. And my eyes can't make out the screen anymore, sonny!
It's saying servers are up but I cant connect. My internet is working fine though... Full release soon?!?!?!

Lol the server was down, i freaked out and opened up my comp and restarted my ipod (home button is broke so I gotta get to app store :D) only to find that its just mantianance....

It tricked me too :( I was like, yesssss!!!!!!!! And then realized it was just a community app and my hopes sank.... Then I thought I would download it anyway and it's pretty cool!

This is a pretty extensive app, in size and nature, so I'm guessing it may take a little longer for Apple to look through.

I've seen apps that are like 5x the size of this app...and they only take 2 weeks to come out usually. But I do not know the size I think Sam said it was around 500mb but I could be wrong

The beta version I got is slightly over 23mb.

Actually it will be about 50-100 MB.

Once the game is approved by apple will it be released in the US app store immediately or will it come out in the New Zealand store first and in the US store the next day like most other apps? In other words, if it would be approved tomorrow would I have to wait till Thursday?

I will beat this dead horse one more time, then stop.
Don't blame the tester for finding a bug. It's not Apple's fault if it doesn't work. The beta was submitted to Verizon and then it took almost two weeks to get out to the Beta testers. Was that Verizon's fault?

Apple is SO slow at approving things... Especially ones we like... It's like by the time I hit 50 that is when it will be out and I am. Currently 29.
That being said, I am dying to play this game as soon as it comes out... I love spacetimestudios games.

Well I was reading another guild about when star legends would be out and someone said being out by Friday would be to late so maybe today or tomorrow or Friday.

Definitely. The devs have said they cannot guess a certain date, so other players wouldn't know either. Btw, where's the Tuesday Edition!?

500mb? That's totally false. The beta was 23mb and Pl is 28mb for 1.7.2.5 version.

To be clear, the game itself is in the range of 25 MB. However, you will need significantly more space (more like the 100 MB that Silentarrow mentions above) to properly download, unpack and install the game.
