Having trouble getting that last upgrade? Want to dominate in PvP? Jewel Chests will be back in the store this week. We’ve reevaluated the odds to give you a better chance at getting rare jewels, adjusted the Jewel Chest to give out jewel from standard to exquisite (no cracked, damaged, or weak!), plus a chance at brand new recipes that let you skip a tier of jewels when upgrading. Last time these were only available over the weekend, we are going to leave these in the store all week!

Introducing Elite Runners Chests!

Our next step in making Elites more rewarding and fun to run is creating a brand new type of loot drop: Elite Runners Chests. These chests will drop in all elite levels. Bronze will drop in lower level elites, Silvers in mid level elites, and Gold Elite Runners Chests will be found in the end game elites.

Bronze:

- XP Elixirs
- Damage Elixirs
- Protection Elixirs
- Speed Elixirs
- 50 Mana Potions
- 50 Health potions

Silver: All the above items plus:

- Luck Elixirs
- 100 Mana Potions
- 100 Health potions
- Jewel Elixirs
- Respec Scrolls

Gold: All the above items plus:

- Ankhs
- Crate Keys

Boosting Cryostar Crates!


Lots of new things going into Cryostar Crates tomorrow. When you open one of these you can loot level 51 mythic weapons, as well as a recipe for the Cryoworm brooch (a new level 52 Arcane necklace that can be upgraded to level 54). We are also adding back in the Arcane Shard and buffing the elixirs by 5-10%. Get ‘em while they are hot.

We believe that everyone can be a Hero, and we’ve decided to put out some killer vanity weapons to celebrate. These will only be available for one week. Hero Chests are a platinum purchase that will award one tradable vanity weapon. Each weapon matches to a particular class and weapon style:

- Smash Hands: Rogue Dual Wield style
- Bow of the Hawk: Rogue Bow style
- Norse God Hammer: Warrior two-handed style
- Captain Arlor's Shield: Warrior one-handed style
- Iron Hand: Mage Staff Style
- Rod of the Trickster: Mage Gun Style

PvP Balance: Return of the KDR!


With last week’s changes (50% damage/ 40% healing nerfs) we feel like the PvP at the end game is fairly on point right now. We also understand that the lower-level PvP does not need this range of adjustments so we’ll scale from ~15% nerfs at low end Twinking to the full 50% nerf at end-game PvP. Net effect is that low-level should feel a lot like what it was before we started this balance pass. Accordingly, we are turning the Kill/ Death Ratios back on with this publish, so be careful out there, and have fun!

Sorcerers Buffs:


We’re sending a little love the Sorcerer’s way to help those little smurfs out:

- Increase the number of targets Fireball can hit by 2
- Fireball Mastery now increases the number of targets Fireball can hit by 1 for every 2 points, and decreases the cooldown of fireball by .1 second for each point
- Increase the damage output of Charged Time Shift on the initial drop of the Clock
- Lifegiver’s Healing effects over time will now stack

Very nice! Can you please have a look at Antignome Set item drop rates, though? The helm and belt are far too rare atm. I believe the new Elite chests will just serve to discourage people from running normal Underhul maps because they have little to no return unless you really loot big, such as a mold piece. I remember the planar pendant recipe to be this hard to loot, but in spite of it we farmed arena hard for that because it wasn't a bottomless pit of pots, ankhs, and elixirs. We actually looted vials, which helped keep up with the costs of farming.

Also wrote something about the heavy-RNG method of looting the armor and amulet type. Not asking things to be easy, but more desirable. At this rate, demand for set items will just decrease because it is far too expensive and dependent on luck.

We apply a global 50% nerf to all classes at end-game PvP. We'll scale this up from 10% at low-level. And no, Rogues are not getting their armor back. We're comfortable with the reasoning and balance there.

Mythic Weapons are not guaranteed from those chests. The Hero Chest, however, will always grant 1 of the 6 new vanity weapons.

Yes, I believe they both start at 10% and scale to 50% at end game.

Rogues had their original Damage Nerf removed a couple of weeks ago, then we applied a global damage nerf to all classes.

For twink levels, yes. You should see a 15% increase in damage if you had an arcane pet with damage modifier of 15%.

pet augmentation, i see... rather than using an egg, probably using a 'pet life essence' that can be gotten from a level 50 pets might be great... and as part of limitation, no one can have more than one pet essence from the same pet

Hey :) was thinking can u maybe have it where elixirs are stackable? Not with the effects but with time. Nothing is wrong with the 30 mins but sometimes i wish it was a hour or 45 mins with say luck and dmg reduction or more. Just a thought

I guess skipping as in you don't need the intermediate step (standard jewel), so weak straight to fortified.
Even 9 weak to 1 Fort also counts as skipping

1. Very impressed with your leadership team and your ability to adjust to the gamer while not totally caving to everything we bombard you all with.

2. Like the fact that we can pick and choose what we want to go after. I think a goal/accomplishment checklist and priority setting ability for each player makes it more fun.

3. Like the fact that you have to work for things. I don't mind luck, and we all have to keep in mind that you will definitely have no luck if you don't ever play. The more we farm, the better the odds, IMO.

Will the jewel lix be class specific or will we loot a Nature jewel lix as a Rogue?!

Hoping for truly beneficial and useable jewel lix instead of filling up inventory crafting slots with MORE water or nature jewels than are already dropping ... Even in some middle level elites @@ !!!

If we cannot trade or sell the lix kits, what am I going to do with a water jewel elixer? Delete it for 0 gold?!

You currently need 9 weaks for 1 fortified, so the recipe seems like a good thing.
Lets hope the costs involved is not higher then direct crafting and there are not too many different tier recipes to maki it confusing.

talking about the lower hauntlet, it used to have 6 cannons at the end of the map, believe it or not, but i had been running lower hauntlet until the number of cannons become random... i refused to run there more than 2 times a day for just finishing daily quest...

P.S. the boss at the end of the hauntlet deserve a boss mark, imo, because it is scaled to our level

- With new -10% debuff, which doesn't override pet +damage% buffs they will have +15% damage BUFF comparing to pre-tweaks
- Warriors will have the hidden buff removed and -10% damage debuff and 10% heal debuff which will make them FOOD for rogues.

IMHO with sorcs are also BUFFED, warriors will be the worst PVP class after the tweaks, at least for twink bracket, but let's see!

Also it wasn't mentioned what happens with PET damage and PROCS damage debuffs?

I believe you guys are planning on making this system require eggs to make the economy better, and increase the demand of arcane pets. But I have been collecting this eggs for long period of time when they were rare and expensive, like hunting for sns and looting when it was 30m. Most of them that i dont use rotting in stable.

It took quite an efford to make, but If we go back to square one because of this system, collect those eggs or the powerful ones again, Its gonna be unfair for our efford time and money. Please consider it while designing.Please dont force us to buy same pets again and again.

You will not lose any current progress in terms of your current pet collection when this system becomes available. That would be downright cruel!

You should remind that not all the people that have rengol crates obtained them from the deary island glitch... Some people farmed them in km3 with the same time and effort as cryo crates. A consideration towards these people, please.

Players will be able to take two entirely different Pet Eggs and combine them with a third Pet. More details coming later this week!

Not all, but that doesn't mean Ren'gol crate prices have to be double that of Cryostar ones, just because they don't upgrade the arcane loot in cryostar crates. I don't see why those people who farmed km3 for Ren'gols need MORE consideration than those who are farming Cryostar crates NOW. STS is rewarding hoarders better than current farmers. They put mythics in elites but destroy elite farming within 2 weeks by putting the same items in crates. Despite that, Cryostar crates still don't fetch a price competitive to Ren'gols, because of the egg loot table. Both km3 and elite Underhul now become non-profitable. Who gets the profit? Those who hoarded Ren'gols, whether farmed legitimately, or a product of the Deary Island glitch.

Existing pets will not be converted to eggs. You will need both active Pets and unopened Eggs to get the most out of the new system.
