Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but not Pocket Legends. I'm a level 52 Mage, and I've been Dex'd out for a while, but I was looking for some advice. I'm running +60 Crit spell, and maxed my lightening, fire, drain life, both debuffs, and shield. The AoE ice attack is 1 and so is my ranged ice attack. My heal is also at 6. Revive 1.
Currently, I'm running drainer's gem stone leather, sentinel helm, mystical bow, and some vanity for +1 armor..

So the reason I'm posting is to get some advice from the veterans here.. Now when I first run into battle, my game plan is, shield, debuffs, Crit buff, aoe freeze, fire, lightening, and drain life when I'm getting hit. With the freeze and fire, comes a combo and allows me to deal a little more extra damage.. Anyone have any advice?

Also, I have a glass tank build too.. With dagger and shield instead of bow.. But I'm too fragile to run into the muck alone.. Granted I'm doing retarded damage.. +60 Crit, and I have all but one of my AoEs maxed out. So some do over 500 damage. And my bow does nearly 600 on a Crit shot! So damage is good, I new defensive strats!

I BOM and BOV before even getting into the battle. Generally, I'll debuff, ice storm, (drain/lightning, depending on how much damage it looks like I'll be taking), firestorm, frost bite.

I never really need my mana shield, except in PvP, and don't need to carry more that 25 pots at anytime, I get them faster than I use them.

With a Dex Mage, I don't see how you don't use your shield.. I've been trying to level to 55 for a few months now. In three months, I've gone up 2.5 levels, with no elixers. And only playing an hour or so a day.. Anyone have any advice on where I can farm some xp? I'm currently 52.

Bandit Boys Hideout.

I always dextress/staff set. Difference is only 10 armor. Either way, time your heals, I can't do any of this with a talon/wand set, I need the extra damage of the recurve/staff. When I go the armor approach, they'll be left with low hp, but still be able to attack, when I go the damage approach, I can kill enough of them that I don't feel in danger.

another good habit to develop is spacing: no matter if your opponent is ranged or melee in pve, keep a distance. I'd say trash the dagger setup and go talon if you need more armor

My dex mage has both ice spells at max but mana shield at just 1. Unless on elixirs, I don't run into large groups.

Yeah, running into large groups all by yourself, only works for my bear.. My Mage gets absolutely destroyed running into the Bandit Boys hideout.. Even on the elixirs.. For now I am using a shield and a talon. My armor has gone down, but now I can kill from a distance.. Which is nice. Any advice would be useful.

My sequence for mobs is Resurrect, Blessing of Might, Shield or Vitality (both if you need to run into a large group of mobs), Nightmare, Ice Storm, Lightning, Firestorm. Use health pots and don't rely on Drain Life to keep you alive in groups of mobs. I don't use Weakness much. Try to kill one mob with your auto-attack while all this is going on since the AoE spells only affect up to five mobs. Pick off stragglers with your weapon. If on elixirs, you don't need this full sequence.
