Quick cleanup from yesterday's build:

+ Add granularity to pvp level ranges and modifiers - tier segments span 5 levels instead of 10
+ AL Elite Runner - Correction for Jewel Elixir to not open immediately
+ Fireball now displays proper number of targets in the summary
+ Elite Underhul Maps now properly state you need to be level 55 instead of 45
+AL Cryoworm Heart
- Updated Stats of Necklace (Hp and Mp)
- Updated VFX of necklace
- Increased damage of poison proc
- Proc now heals caster on poison tick
- Proc adds stun to non-boss, non-player

Hey justg! Thank you for update. Also Lvl 51 mythics look so cool for warriors but the stats they give are even low than lvl 46 mythics!! Is this intended?

No; it means that there are now static Tiers for PvP matches. Level 13 players will be fighting against players from a minimum of Level 11 to a maximum of Level 15. Another way of looking at it: Players at levels 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 play together in a Tier. Players from level 16 to 20 play together in another (higher) Tier. Hope this helps!

What was wrong with the old "+/-2levels" system?

does this mean that lvl 56 has their own tier? 56-60? but why is a level 56 can join a map where level 54 inside then...?

I appreciate for the effort of Arcane Legends Technical Team that show how they work hard on optimizing the PVP's circumstances.
However, I strongly claim that the old system,+- 2lvl gap, is way better than now.

The first reason is the lowest level user will disappear soon because they can't be survived and they can't do anything with the highest level blanket which means their several years effort will be foundered.

Secondly, 'one level gap' means 10 to 15 damages and 100 to 200 health point as if the same set of gears, but the new system cannot overcome the level gap through the teamwork due to the limitation of the level gap.

Lastly, the new system will destroy the friendship and connections between the guild and their members.

As a result, the new system will downsize the all around users of PVP. I wish STS team restore the former system as soon as possible, and sincerely, I'm really thankful for all of your efforts.

one problem i have is that now level10 feels like 23 or higher, rogues starting to crit 500+ on tanks now. i like a little more dmg at 10 so clashes wont last hours, but i think there should be less than what it is now

This tier system looks good were testing it out.. 11 - 15 nice no more 16s :) now they wont be so proud killing us 14s.

oh we dont see much 11 or 12, we dont know about your TIER's population but on ours 11 - 12 is kinda dead

Please reconsider the tiers... They are not only destroying the twink levels, but also changing the routine of a lot of people moving around in pvp just below cap.

I dont see a problem with it as long as low levels can be reversed to a max gap of 3 levels and cap level will have its own tier.

In my opinion this 5 lvs thing not good at all..

Also there r many guild which have lv 15,16 and 17 in same guild including me(I'm 15 +.+) I will have to lv up to stay with the guild with which I am since last year...and now when I have nekro....this happened -_-

Here are my partner’s latest thoughts on this:


Yeah - the old system had some really cool aspects. I'm proud of that design 'cause it did a great job of matchmaking AL's early (very small) PVP community. And honestly, back in the beginning we didn't put an emphasis on PVP balance. Throwing characters at any level against characters at any two levels above or below was just fine. Today, with a desire to achieve balanced fights in our PVP arenas, the flaws of the original system are presenting challenges that make it excessively difficult to manage. Especially considering how big the advancement game has become and how vast the equipment offerings have grown. So, I assert that adding more complexity to the old system would move us in the wrong direction.

It is true that the new system puts pressure on competitors to advance to the top of each numerical Tier. From a game design perspective, this is cool because it ensures that we can achieve an exciting and competitive balance for these Tiers. Balancing ten tiers is profoundly simpler than balancing the combination of fifty-six individual levels within a margin of two levels above and below.

Now: could I have told everybody about these Tier plans before they were implemented? Yup. That's my bad. Sorry. No excuses :-/
But that reminds me... I need to post in the Pet Forum to break the news about the unbelievably powerful pet power swapping system and the upcoming Arcane Ability combo system. These will have an impressive effect on everything PVE, PVP and their respective economies.

Keeping the conversation drama-free ensure that you have a voice in what we do next.
