View Full Version : Spawn Killing Fix Up (PvP)

I myself love to do PvP. PvP has its ups and downs, but the "down" I am going to focus on fixing is Spawn Killing. To tell you what I am talking about I will give a common scenario.

Myself and a group are playing FFA (Free For All) and I die. I spawn and... BOOM dead again.

My idea is making a tunnel starting. This tunnel where you spawn and you walk out of it when you want to compete. There could be a radius of 20m or so around the tunnel where the opposition can not walk in and just spawn kill you out of the tunnel. This idea may not be good, but if there is any suggestions for finding a way to stop spawn killing it would be very... helpful :)

Or, add a 5 second timer that makes you invincible and all of your attacls do 0 damage. +1 on the idea.

BTW CTF map: Rockwall Forts, make the room where players spawn off limits for other team. Meaning they can not walk in it adding a barrier to cancel the spawn killing there as well.

A solution could be to mark a small circle around a char, when it respawn. A visible line of some sorts. While within that circle, nobody can dmg you and you can't dmg anybody. As soon as you set foot out of the circle, you can attack and be attacked, and the circle disappears. That way, if there's a spawn killer, you can prepare yourself to come out of your circle with guns/bows/staffs blazing, making it a fair fight IMO :)

what I em afraid of is players finding a loop hole if Devs do create a way to stop spawn killing :/

YES! i was gonna make a suggestion about this as well! +1

Yeah a timer would be good. But 5 seconds is too little for me lol. I need to swerve the camera around a little bit to get orienented about where I am. Maybe a 7 second timer or even 10.

Or if make it to where if someone is spawn killing within a specific zone, then they are given a death for every "kill" they accrue. See how those stats stack up!! lol

Eh rockwall needs the flags moved away from the spawn points never fails a team falls behind 4-0 and just stays there next to spawn and while eventually you can break through and win 15 minutes of waiting to string together some dodges gets old

The tunle not a bad idea but it should be.just alittle area disconexted from the whole arena and there should be a teleport in the area that will take u and drop u some where random in the arena

No barriers cause I can imagine people going afk and holding up spots

Players already do this. And if the players is afk they wont be leaving because theres no barrier.
