yess, but you can also buy other items ig that costs real money. e.g) maps, stigs, special items etc

If I'm not mistaken, they've said before that the SL system will be exactly like the PL system.
Free main spine, platinum for the extra campaigns.
Could be mistaken, but that's how I've understood it ever since.

You didn't, reserving your name was an optional service, and was not required to play the beta/full game.
