Should i buy rr set or wait till new levels update¿

I was going to buy the rr set when I got to 56 a few days ago, but I setteled with a mixture of bagmans and underlings.
I guess if you have the money, you could go for the rr set. but then, the prices will go down drastically once the new updates up. since there's going to be new gear :)

Think of it this way, it's better to have had the experience of using a lvl 55 set that sparkles than not.
If you don't like it, you can always resell.

Gold can always be regained through farming/merchanting.
Experience is priceless.

The new update will bring new gear, but you don't actually know when the new update will be live. The RR set is fun to use and could be something that is still useful even after the new cap. Personally I still use my Death Talon/Shield set more than I do my RR Talon/Shield set; the point is just because new gear is on the horizon doesn't mean that your old weapons will become scrap metal.

Also, the stats for the Custom set are focused on doing crit damage, the new gear may not have a set that is equal in that aspect.

They don't sparkle, if they're not wearing a full set or not all pieces are lv55.

As for the original question, prices definitely will come down... temporarily. But my guess is that prices will go up again, quite some time after the update. But, then again, you can never be sure.

I'd say, if you have the gold, go for it... It's a wonderful set (custom). If you don't, settle for a lesser set for now and upgrade when you hit 60+.

i dont think the prices will go down too much, unless they up the drop rate in sewers, and people dont want to make money anymore..

im hoping im one of the first to find a pink in the new maps so i can sell it for bank, and maybe get a decent set this time.. ^^

i changed this days from my rr to custom and i was supriced, what a big difference it is. so if you have the money go for custom. the only set i dont use is death talon. im fine with cyber talon and its for free.

cos even green or prpl items lvl. 51 is stronger than lvl 50
thats will happend when the update comes..
ppl wont buy lvl 55 gear only for 8000 killing to lvl 56. (new gear, exactly like lvl 51 today!)
so yea... i think we will see crysis lol haha

if u dont belive me? look at the diferent between lvl 50 and lvl 51 (is like lvl 55 and lvl 56 after the update) the diferent is huge not realy, imo i would use one of the 50 sets like shadow, hate or sentinel over the 51 and 53 sewer items. so 55 or 56 - 60 or 61 i would use custom for most of it and get the lvl 60 set after when you get there. then withy the custom, the prices will prolly fly high with the lack of ppl craftin that set, and since you cant farm it most ppl wont be bothered to craft cos you have to farm for recipe, gather all items to craft etc. so if i were you get custom prolly best thing your gonna get til 60

playing with a crap equipment isnt funny. i would never play a game which makes not fun and its a pain to level. so save your money until you reach the 60s in a few months with your bad equip and then you can save your money again, but whe reach 70s... *ironieoff
what i want to say is, money isnt a fact in this game and its easy to make some millions in a few days. its important to have 10 or 100 millions on the highest level? whats the difference? no difference and no advantage. i would ever play with the best stuff i can get on the highest level and its much easier to reach the next new levels. when i reach them an buy new stuff/sets and sell my old with a loss of 50% or more. what happens? i can replace the money fast. but i have fun the whole time i play this game. this fact counts for me. just my cents...

lol yes i would, what happened with the new 55 stuff was that all the stats werent spread out, they were all clumped into one stat realy, so yes i would say that, also ik someone who use their shadow set until 55.

Some 55 sets are better, some not. I changed my 50 set only at 53, the pro before were less than cons. We should admit we haven't any idea if yellows/greens on new levels will be better than 55 sets (as it was for Sewers) or not (like it was for AO1), and how much they will costs.

I an in the same position in that I dont have enough mOney to purchase the rr set at the moment. But given that the update is within the next 2 weeks (zomg!!!!!) I think it is a wise idea to just wait for the new campaign... Until then just use bagman or underling gear

Well i use sewer king gemstone scarab bow as my main weapon, it had fair rate for m/s and h/s, i combine my gear with bodyguard gemstone platebody and customized crown of persistence or fury fighter gemstone helm for balancing stats.
I have no trouble of dying with this gear :P

To be honest, the best thing is to sell and wait until new update coming soon this week.
I know that rr/custom set are awesome but i don't see the point of getting one. Orange/purple doesn't always mean they're weak, they're tends to be powerful than pink at some point. Anyway, i say is to wait, save more cash and buy a new gear when it comes out.

Im surprised that the price of sentinel of death are going up really crazy, this could be similar situation for a custom set in the future, because i doubt the new gear will beat this insane critical rate and hit. The only exception is the Armour and survivability with this gear is terrible anyway :)

u need to ask ureself those important questions...
1.is the mobs in the new lvl will be powerful as the mobs todays in sewers? well... no.
that answer tells u that the new lvl gear must be powerfull then lvl 55!!!
insane crit or not, dont look at the gear today.
look at the different between ao and sewer
that would be the exact different between sewers to the new lvl.... and gear too.
and yea, the bows will be stronger and with more crit and so on...
cos the biggest mistake they can do is open new map with same strong gear like u have today. and say that is the big update ull be waiting for...
they have to make new strong weapon.
and then....ull no one bought lvl 55 gear cos tell me.. u whould buy1 mil set only for. 8k killing? no... ull wait to lvl. 56 gear.
and when all lvl. 55 gear releas to the market? it will be chaos. like sk leather that everyone sell now, the price drops to. 400k and nobody bought it
p.s.gelli..... if u saw someone using shadow gear till lvl 55 is for one reason.
he didnt want to spend money for pinks lvl. 51 of he like the look and show off lol

honestly, i didnt bought any gear till lvl 35 with my. 2nd char. why? cos i lvled up soo fast that i didnt need that.
and i was using tiara helm (the frog one) in AO why? cos i joined to run xp with lvl. 55 guys who do there quests. so i didnt use best gear, they was killing for.me lol
the point is that u need to set ure gear to the time u ganna stay with it.
if u r paying 1 mil set for one lvl only? is a waist of money.
if that gear will serve u for 4 lvls? that a better deal
and u reach the highest lvl? u better wanna the best gear that exist... like custom set or rr of mm or whatever (today.....not after the update)
cos like someone say above, thats not fun to play with low gear.
