Ever see people begging for money? Well I like most players, completley ignore it. Now, its our turn (all "wealthy folk") to give back to all those low levels who don't beg!
I will judge this contest by
1) Your generosity
2) The level of the player (being gifted)
3) How much gold you have
4) How much gold the player who you are gifting has

Don't want to be a party pooper or anything, but you might want to remove that nr 3 rule. As far as I understood, the gold amount you have is not to be discussed on the forums. It might attract potential hackers, scammers, spammers...

Great Idea for a Contest :) only one thing if you don't mind my constructive criticism. What if(just a what if so it may not happen) someone had two devices and showed themselves giving money to, well themselves. Without you knowing this could ruin the competition for everyone If Someone was that sinister. Or even if they gave it to a best friend and the best friend gave it back..... Sorry just got to thinking :(

Here is my entry. I like to give away items to random new players who in my opinion are playing the game the way it should be. FOR FUN! New players really seem to like potions and any pink, no matter what the value.

I ran into a Level 10 Archer named Freylin, asked if I could ask a few questions. This is his first and only character and has about as much gold as you would expect. But I explained it was for a forum contest for new players. Since he was a bird I gave him A Jewel Thief's Crystal Set along with some Potions to help him along the way. I did not post the screenies with his gold amount as this is not good behavior on the forum.

Only pics gifting a person would seem like proof cuz it shows names giving/receiving items.

Then the flaw is ppl can post pics of them giving to their friends/other devices.

If people want to cheat let them cheat.... It's all up to your guys hontesty, if a cheater wins let him win knowing that he just SCAMMED me and possibly the devs. If I figure out people were cheating they will recieve a report for scamming and disqualification.

Lol pvp this is somthing i have done from the start :) giving away items and gold to peeps who really are just begining, for those who are truley new, this helps them enjoy the game and stick around, i am in hopes that by being a giver these players in turn will pay it forward. I never do this for recognition, i enjoy the whats?!?! And the omg thank you!!! And are you serious? Lol the responses are pricless. Giving away random punks and usable other gear is a big assist to new players.

I cant so screenies but about a month ago i gave someone 50k to start, then a full lvl 25 int onyx set, then a full brainfreez set when he hit 30. I can get the peraon to verify this as well as provide his initial post on forums when he started. :) Sorry, but I cant do screenies but I do think this is a good idea!

I'm with LadyHadassa.

I have an alt (it's changed a couple times since I started) that holds items to give away. Pretty much once a day, he trolls the various towns, checking items against various players. The players cannot be too "glammed up" and it helps if they've got newish player type stats. I try to give them 1 helm, 1 weapon, 1 armor, 1 shield for their highest stat. If I can, I also give them a pink for their stat.

I try to stick to people in the 1st 3 or 4 towns, particularly Forest Haven and Ursan Weald. I would prefer them to use the items but I don't care if they sell them. I figure it's a way to help them a little bit in the game and hell, it makes me feel pretty good too.

I also give items in dungeons when I see fun people around and if I have extra items on me. I really like fun people and people who try to play.

I think a contest like this is great but the people that give the most and help the most are typically not recognized and I have a feeling will not be the ones recognized in this contest. I know the biggest givers usually remain behind the scenes and are hesitant to report their own acts of giving. I would rather leave it up to the recipient as to whether he or she would ever want to shedlight on these specific random acts of kindness.
