Kind of inconsiderate, some people wanted to buy the reservation but just didnt have the plat to do so (i should know, im one of them. Just got lucky and got a beta key)

Myst got that in the beginning.
I think it was hard to know that the Beta player pool would grow with the release of an Android version, so the chance of getting a desired name would decrease even more than previously predicted when the option of reserving a name came and went :p
