How many bears are willing to duel it out in a PvP tournament?

Title says it all, I haven't tried creating a poll yet, will tinker with the forums a bit after this post.

Was curious, how many bears are willing to participate in a PvP Dueling Tournament?

General details,

1. 51-56, up to you really, if you're 51 but want to go up for it, by all means.

2. Any stat/skill build, dual spec, pures, hybrids, anything as long as you're a bear.

3. Each fight starts fresh. Fresh buffs, fresh cooldowns. Both agree on how to do a proper duel.

4. First to 10.

That's the general idea really. A straightforward bear dueling tournament.

Prizes. If I can get Sam's endorsement for some plat, then we'd have the plat. I was also wondering if players would be interested in a forum title? For "bragging rights"?

They might, they might not. I know for sure that using certain pieces would only make a few armour points, damage points, and skill/stat points the only difference from a 51/55 wearing the same gear. Up to you :)

I'm a bit hesitant on the CTF after seeing how hard it was to organize one :( not to mention since this is gonna be bear specific, it might be harder to get a larger pool of players.

Sign up could be right here. I'm hoping Sam allows some sort of endorsement so it can be made semi-official too.

And it could be possible, but there are ways to get str-to-str bear duels to end quick, up to the duelists to find out though :p

I never did PVP with bear (only some games with my 25 twink mage). An opportunity to learn something and offer a free K/D boost to an experienced PVPer? Why not?

Yay! The more people the better. I'm actually a bit concerned if we can actually gather up enough bears to form a decent tourney instead of just one full 3v3 room. Lol.

I think it might be a good idea that you post the 'official' playing times in your thread. Making arrangements otherwise has proven to be tedious, to say the least. I'm more than happy to participate, but I wouldn't want to have the same situation as in the last tournament. I got up in the middle of the night... Twice.. For nothing, because things between our teams weren't arranged very well (not pointing any fingers, it was a learning curve for us all). In the end I lost a lot of sleep, didn't get to play, didn't get any antenna and read a lot of drama on the forums :/

Teams can for example postpone the scheduled match, in like 12-24 hours in advance or so, allowing a bit of flexibility. But if there's a no-show, there should be clear rules for disqualification IMO

I hope you can get enough people, I'll make a post within our guild forum asking everybody with a tank to participate. This is just a great idea that should be a lot of fun. I'd just hate to see it become a flaming match all over again :)

Sam has told me that matches should be scheduled. First no show is a re-schedule, second is a DQ. Also, any type of unsportsmanship and rude behavior is an automatic DQ.

I was thinking of first grouping bears with the closest timezones first, then narrowing it down?

That's the help I'd probably need, actually setting up the match times. But before all that, need to finalize the list!

Since this is pushing through, I can start counting how many are willing to participate.
