Is name contests aloud?

Ive seen a few name contests on forum with no dev response saying it isnt aloud or anybody for that matter did we finally get over the name selling issue?

i believe it is not allowed. cuz scammable. so obviously it hasta be illegal. i feel like some dev said it isnt allowed too

Selling names isn't allowed but it isn't bannable. Players buying and selling names for their own risk. So if you get scammed then don't go cry and sending tons of emails to sts cause they won't help you. Own decision.

Basically if you cant fit it in a trade window its not allowed therefore making a bannable offense, if you got scammed a name and complain you will be banned along with the party you attempted the trade with.
