The Price of the "Deal" of the Day

I'm assuming many of us are having mixed feelings about the deal of the day, especially in regards to its extravagant cost of 50 Plat for a shield that is basically the Hardlight Shield in a different colour. When I first thought of a "deal of the day" I immediately hoped for items or vanities given at a discounted price for a day, which seems to make sense as it should be quite a "deal." Will deals like that exist (hopefully in numerous occasions) in the future, or are we going to be stuck with what are supposedly limited edition vanity items for an expensive price as the "deals?"

Yeah 50 plat doesn't sound like a discounted price to me. Plus I was a little dissapointed when I found it had no extra stats, but that's that. Its still an awesome red shield :)
Hopefully we'll see better items in the future!

Yea I agree its still a cool vanity shield, 50 platinum is alittle steep but atleast its stashable.

Ya I was quite disappointed when I saw the 50 plat deal of the day. I was hoping/thinking sound 10-25 plat but 50 plat is obsurd.

Yeah, I know I got ahead of myself, was just a bit confused with the ambiguity of today's deal of the day, but then again its only the first one.

Yeah I saw :p I suppose that deals like this are very infrequent, and hopefully we will see a lot more discounted stuff in the future.

The second deal was the red shield, the first was a 3x elixir and the 3rd one is I don't know since I guess I live in the past.

After a bit more deliberation, I think ill just end this thread and be content with the price; I bought the shield. It may be a lot of Plat but revenue still needs to be generated somehow; STS probably has 20 or so employees who have mouths to feed. The shield offers no advantage stats-wise anyway, which is always good in my book.
