Problem with leaving the game during combat

This has been killing my kdr. Sometimes I would join pvp games and no one is fighting, so after a while I would have to leave, and it counts it as a death. So to try to solve this I would walk to the opposite side of the map and then leave. But it still says I am in combat, even though theres no one fighting and no one near me...
Anyone else having this problem?

Look at your status bar, the one that shows the icons of buffs/debuffs you have on.

If you see a smiley icon on it, it means you're still in combat, don't leave. The moment it's gone, you're free to leave.

Just like elly said :) if any of your buffs are not regen filled you get a death... With the recent game boots going on in server im getting deaths from this as well.

I noticed this too. I wonder if there is any way to stop this from happening. Devs?
