No, I am not buying an Android tablet to play SL, but I would still like to get one that will play the game well :)

So, I am an Android newbie, but I have been looking at the new Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and the Asus one that comes with a keyboard the most so far. Will both of them play SL? Or, are there some sort of restrictions I need to look for, like version of the OS?

Ya, it's a pretty sweet device, that's for sure. Although, I can tell that the games are made for handheld devices and blown up on the android, thats for sure, much like when you download an iPod app and play it on the iPad. Like PL has the exact same interface as the iPhone's app, but blown up on the Android. The iPad interface is quite a bit different than the iPhone app, so it is a completely seperate app.

Hard to program for android devices though, there are so many of them out there, sucks.

I hear there are a few apps made specificially for the tablets, so I'll be interested to explore those.

Asus > galaxy,
Go check out reviews of both on youtube or just google them.
It all depends on what you prefer. Entertainment or functionality.
I recently got a transformer (was gonna get galaxy) and im really happy with it so far.
I wrote a little review about it in the forums aswell :)

I purchased a 16gb one, but ordered a 32gb sd card to add to the tablet, and a 250gb external hard drive with the cable built in to connect to the keyboard dock when needed. I figure that will be ample space :)

I was so excited to get the keyboard dock, sd card, external hd, and mini hdmi to regular hdmi connector that I overnighted shipping, paid an extra 25 dollars to have it by this weekend, *sigh*....needs to learn patience....

haha, too cool :)

Now, when I get the items today, the true testing begins! Will it play my mkv's I throw at it? (1080p picture, HD audio, basically a straight blu ray rip) I have Moboplayer, so hoping the answer is YES!!

I already have the network streaming portion figured out, just need the offline viewing portion figured out :)

I have mobo player aswell haha, and yep i think it will have no problem playing full hd movies, ive only watched one 720 movie though andit was fine.
And dude you're gonna love the pre installed "MyCloud", it comes with a virtual storage space andd wait for it, u can control ur main desktop through wifi, not just control but actually see in on your tablet. You can watch videos through it aswell, haha when u get it u should use the nvidia tegra zone to download some games, the graphics in those games are out of this world.
, welcome to the asus club bro ;)

asus cloud...na, I have my own cloud on my windows home server I use :)
I am using spashdesktop, however, and that seems pretty cool so far, but my movies won't play sound yet, it is a codec issue on my HTPC I think, although no sound plays at all when i use splashdesktop.

Yep, the 7" Galaxy Tab is just the right size and is my main SL machine - any smaller, it becomes finicky and any larger, it becomes cumbersome at least for me anyways. My Nexus S with a 4inch screen is just playable but I sometimes press the wrong skill icon (must be my fat fingers - lol) and it can be tricky manually targeting.

Star legends + hdmi out = 52" screen. :D
