Ranged Weapon Max Range?

Is it my imagination, or do different ranged weapons have different maximum firing ranges?

I saw that my A-OK rifle appeared to shoot farther than my light pistol. My measurement technique was to stand at a line on the ground and fire off at nothing. The rifle blast appeared to go a little farther.

I don't have a reliable way of testing this until PvP comes out.

Its possible they have different ranges, and also as in pocket legends crossbows have longer range than normal bows. ;) also think about in real life difference between shooting range of pistols and rifles.

I would prefer Commando weapons have shorter range too.

test by trying to target an enemy at a distance and see were you stop and start firing. Then switch weapons and so on..
