PvP= platinum preferred?

So is it me, or do you have to be drowning in Platinum to own PvP at low levels? I got on my lvl 12 bird and noticed every single person was wearing platinum items... And everyone was a dexbear with a talon and wing... I guess they own that level category?
Then I hopped on my lvl 29 voodoo Mage and noticed, just about everyone was using a voodoo set up at that level... As far as lvl 29 goes, what's one of the best set ups for a PvP Mage?

But on topic, no it's not platinum based. I've still seen players who only spend gold play really well at those levels, skill is a bigger factor.

Last I checked, at level 15, my bear had the hardest time taking down a decent Mage with mana shield up. Platinum or no platinum.

As far as lvl 10 yes I noticed the good ones have some platinum items and a founders helm (kinda like cheating) though i know one great lvl 16 with neither of those things. He's a good friend and amazing pker his name is: elmoguy!!!

First... those items probably aren't platinum items. These people are using items that were only available for limited time, they probably didnt buy with plat, they are just rare holiday items. Plat items suck. So you're wrong about that.

And 29 voodoo mage? wth? lol

You can't equip voodoo until level 35, so thats not a voodoo mage.

non-plat setup i used for a sec that worked but needs practice to be good with and needs some funding:

pure dex bear: lvl 10-12
lvl 10 assassin's archery cap
lvl 10-12 bling flinger
lvl 5 artisan's reinforced leather.

I agree with <mostly> everyone here about pvp being about strategy and planning, not gear. U can have a pink set for all i care, but if u dont have the tactics, then ur still just an expensive piece of a player, nothin more. :smiley_simmons:

Any F2P game will be dominated by the bought currency type gear/player. Nuff nuff.

If you have a couple extra.... Hundred thousand to spend on really nice gear. You can pink tinsel and pink pepper which in my opinion, it is better.
