New patch/app launch issue

This isn't really a patch problem but I have noticed that after the last patch the app will start with the spacetimes load page then just goes back to the main screen. Don't know if anyone else has had this prob but I don't have wifi at home so a uninstall reinstall is outta the question at this point :).

I have also experience this. It happened every once in a while before the patch, but happens frequently since the patch. I didn't report because I figured it was due to my old 1st gen iPod touch.

I myself have a 3g iPhone so it's definently on more then 1 type of device... Might be something STS has to look into....

it happened to me as i was readin this i deleted game now reinstalling maybe that make it work if not im gettin my hat, pistol, and horse and gonna go play me some red dead redemption until they fix this,,i have a iphone 3g also

i seem to be still having this issue even after i re-installed yesterday... worked yesterday, but not today...

now after rebooting it appears to be working...go figure...getting the iPhone 4 on the 24th so...

My friend had this issue yesterday. I introduce him to PL for the first time and the app didn't work. I was like O.O...I'm sorry. Hopefully it will work today..

He is still having issues. He tried launching it and it stays at spacetime studios page and then goes back to main screen. We tried deleting, re-installing, re-booting the iPod and every combination that goes with it. Anyone have ANY suggestions that would fix this? I thought it got patched but I guess not..

The startup timeout happens if the game takes longer than 10 seconds to initialize. If the app is deleted and reinstalled, can you get into the game? Does it only have a problem after patching?

8GB, & most recent....Yeah it finally started up. I'm not sure what was wrong, but after deleting and re-installing for the millionth time it actually worked. I don't know what happened, but its working now, thank God.

so it will let me open if i try about 3-4 times but still happenin... IPhone 3g

I can reproduce this on my iPhone 3G. If I restart my phone before I play, or if it times out and then I immediately run it again, I can get in. This is currently related to the sheer number of files that the game has to deal with at startup and over time, with patches, that number continues to grow. Unfortunately, the only thing that will truly fix it is an app update.

This would make sense as my friend is still having issues. At least we can get it to work after numerous tries; that's all that counts.
