For my commando and engineer I use the Dura-Skin armor + 50 armor. On the commando to tank better and on the engineer to stay alive longer to heal and revive.

For my opperarive I can't decide which one to use. I'm thinking the Marksman MG-1 crit% Amplifier for +3% crirical.

Thoughts? Thanks

I use the +50 on my engineer too. Using transferrence grabs a bunch of aggro. Helps avoid some deaths. The ability to boost armor over 400 (419 I think) with implant and buffs helps a lot.

Thinking of damage for my op. Can't kill you if they are already dead by the time they get there.

50 armor is too good compared to the other offerings.

5% dodge would mean that you'd dodge an average of 1 out of 20 enemy attacks. 50 armor means that every enemy hit would effectively have a lower damage to you. It's all in the preference of a guaranteed lower damage from enemies versus the 1:20 odds of having an enemy completely miss you.

True. But
15% dodge over 10% dodge makes a pretty big difference as well.

I guess its personal preference and food for thought.

It depends on how much damage 50 armor blocks, though. I may have a way of figuring this out.

PL's formula was 1 armor = 1 damage reduction, but it may have changed in SL. I tried to test it out on the dog-aliens in Numa Prime (2 armor vs 46 armor vs 191 armor vs 200+ armor) but the damage ranges were all roughly the same (with 200+ armor there was a slightly lower reduction in damage, by about 3-4 points). A minimum enemy damage still exists in SL. If there were a much harder hitting enemy to test on that would yield better results. If you can expand on this please let me know.

So far I'm just using the +50 armor implants. Especially with the operative, the extra armor is really nice…
