Since the launch of the Spacetime Merchandise Store (http://www.zazzle.com/spacetimestudios*), we've been working to bring over our library of assets and images to t-shirts, mugs, posters, mouse pads, phone cases and more. As we've been doing this, we can't help but think what our fans would come up with for an awesome Pocket Legends T-shirt. What better way to find out than to put a prize on it!

The Challenge:

Design a T-shirt for Pocket Legends
T-shirt design must work with the Zazzle.com Creation Tool. http://www.zazzle.com/custom/tshirts
You may use existing Pocket Legends images using the Fan Site Kit (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/content.php?137) or any other Spacetime imagery found on our websites.
Besides the below attachments or other Spacetime images from our website, ALL ASSETS MUST BE CREATED BY YOU!


When:
The Pocket Legends T-Shirt Design Contest starts now and runs through 12 Noon Central on Wednesday, August 24th.

Voting:
The Dev Team will pick our favorite at the close of the contest on Wednesday, August 24th.

On Thursday, August 25th we'll post up the remaining entries and create a Poll that will be available for 24 hours for the Community to pick their favorite and determine runner's up. After the poll closes we'll tally the votes and announce winners.

2 T-shirts of the size of your choice with your design printed on it.

Judging
The Spacetime Development Team will pick their winner based on the uniqueness and style of the overall T-shirt design and how well it presents Pocket Legends in the Spacetime Merchandise Store (http://www.zazzle.com/spacetimestudios*) on Zazzle.com.

The second winner and 5 runners-up will be chosen by the number of unique votes received during the public polling phase.

Yes, you can use images from the game. However, a straight screenshot probably won't display on a shirt well. You will probably need to edit it? Just my thoughts.

Wanted to make it similar to the other shirt designs thus, its in black and white. It's not fully finished yet though
- gotta make overlords face, and fix up minor details. the armor details on overlordie looks a lil too sketchy atm.imo.
just posting it before I go to my lectures for another 4 hours ;_;
This was first designed by hand, (lots of trials) then done on Flash, took me bout 3-4hours,

Very interesting idea. While I'm not creative, if given the images I could throw together something pretty nice. I've made several things on another (mostly) shirt site.

The chances of me actually having time to do this though, are slim.

So, let me give you guys some advice.

1) The idea of this contest is to create a tshirt that current players will buy and wear in public. It either needs to be kinda a walking advertisement or just so blown away awesomely distinctive someone will search it to find out what the heck it was. While the game is free it is supported by funds from platinum purchases mostly. More advertisement = more players = more money. To be perfectly honest, I can't recall the last time I saw such an awesome shirt I researched it.

Put something on it so the average clueless Joe (or Jane) will see it and think "wow that looks neat/cool/interesting; I'm going to check it out. " put the website, put the game name "Pocket Legends", and or somehow signify this is a mobile game.

2) (I didn't follow all the links and read ever particular so if I'm in the wrong here I'll edit later!)
Designs do well on the back of shirts! You could put a small something near the breast/pocket area of the chest and the full design on the back. This way while wearing it in public it catches the eye of someone walking past you, and hopefully they turn to glance back and then... Have the same thought as quoted above. Include number 1.

3) shirts with words and minimal images are good also! You all know the shirts I'm talking about. They say humorous or clever things and sometimes have a faded background image. Include number 1.

I did everything other way, my "design" is at front of t-shirt and at background little text addition. But good tips and ideas for everyone who haevn't yet submitted their design. :)

I would like to just say I do not think it is a good idea to post entries before the contest has ended. Posting an example thread is fine. If people want to reply to that thread and share their design it's up to them.

I'd hate to see someone's design hijacked by another person and altered enough to be considered 'original' and with slight adjustments made improving it, and win. If that happened and it was your design that was the, um, inspiration, for the winner...you'd feel pretty bad.

Side note: if anyone would like design/layout/(marketing) help I'd love to help you! I am sure I don't have time to sit at my home pc and make an entry myself, but I can email back and forth through the forum. I'll only help one person who really would like assistance and I don't require a share of the winnings should you win. I will accept an honorable mention though :) Also, you do not need to share with me your full design; generic word description is best. (ex: bird wearing whatever, and colors or idk.) I'm not even creative enough to come up with a worded description lol!

Lol thanks dude I loved that T-shirt that I posted on this thread. But sadly it wasn't possible to reproduce on the zazzle T-shirt creation tool that is required. So I had to change my design alot to fit the requirements of the zazzle website that our T-shirts are going to be made from. I really wanted to use the one on this thread but its too good lol :(.

If your on a pc just press the print scrn sysrq key when viewing your image on site.Then paste into a image editor or even standard paint lol

To get an image on the shirt, save an image into a file and then click upload images on the shirt page

just fyi that design wont work on zazzle, they dont allow stuff on the sleeves and it seems like you can only have one image and the print area is very limited
