I am not new to tablets. This is my 7th, none of them ran Pocket Legends well enough to play. Picked up the Archos 10.1. While the OS isn't the greatest, 2.2 froyo. Just a little buggy, nothin major. It has a few features I think this community will like.

1. Price tag $260
2. Usb mouse & keyboard work
3. Supports Usb spitters & flash drives
4. It runs PL flawlessly

And before I get flamed that a mouse is a lot slower than using a touch screen (which is true) I use a Stylus for Gameplay. A wireless keyboard is awesome though! Hope to see you out there.

If you don't have anybody to hate on, its ok. You can hate on me! :D

That is a nice tab. A little more expensive, and due to living in Alaska I would have to order it. I'm pretty impressed with this Archos. Just tested a few HD accelerometer games & it runs smooth. Ran 3 hours of non stop gameplay on PLs and I'm still in awe. On top of that, through out all my stress tests & endless apk installs its been running on battery for 7 hours now. Just hit 10% battery power. Not a bad alternative for those who don't wanna cough up $399 +.

haha nice!
the Asus Transformer lasts around 8-9 hours (constantly playing/screen on) and with the keyboard dock it gives another 6-7 hours of gameply.
Comparing to other high-end tablets like the samsung galaxy stablet, its a lott cheaper, and with similar/even better specifications!

The keyboard add on has its own battery but I didn't know it added battery life on top of the device. That is pretty sweet. My last tablet supported Usb wireless keyboard & mouse just like this Archos. But it had poor 3d rendering. I could only use it for CS & chat purposes. This one is awesome! I'm a big fan of being able to plug in everyday devices laying around the house. I wasn't much of a typer in game before, but that's changed drastically lol.

Thanks Navy. I have had a Rca Lyra, those where way ahead of there time. Archos 7 home mini tab - that was about when the touchscreen tablets got pretty popular. Sylvania 7 tab - This was such a piece of junk, had some really nice features but false advertised worse then any product I have ever purchased. 16 gig iPad 1 - Runs great but I cant stand Apples OS & Restrictions. And now this Archos 10.1. I really like all the new dual core processor Tabs comin out but not ready to pay that much for one. Ill wait until prices become a bit more reasonable.

It really depends on how much youu want to spend. This Archos 10.1 is running great now that I have worked my magic on it. For the pricetag of around $250. I've also played on a rooted NooK Color, ran just fine for the same price.Dell Streak 7 looks promising for the $250 but I've yet to touch one. I won't even say iPad because I HATE Apple. The Transformer is a really nice tab, the Xoom is great, & I haven't played on the Galaxy 10.1 yet. Toshiba Thrive is up there & HTC Flyer is becoming a contender as well. Really does depend onn how much youu want to spend. If you spend $399 or up, you won't be let down performance wise.

I was once very very very tempted on a future tablet, the Notion Ink. However, reading about it makes me think it is nothing but vaporware...
The specs impressed me at the time.

I bought one of these 3 months ago in perfect condition off somebody for 200 :). It's what I've been playing on since, it really is nice once it's rooted it's pretty snappy. Although during the fire sale I bought 3 HP Touchpads for the family, I'll have to decide in a bit which one to keep..

i'm very new to tablet as i m IOs user. Does the 2.2 Freyo means android 2.2 version? and Does 2.2 version works with PL? Or we need 2.3? What is the CPU speed that we need to run PL flawless.

2.2 works, but 2.3 runs PL better. It has a newer version of openGL, so a 1ghz processor(single core) with 2.2 lags a bit, and the same thing with 2.3 doesn't lag at all.

I just got the acer iconia 7'' and i really like it. Set me back about $300 but is so much better to play on than my phone. I went with the 7'' cause it seems just right for handheld gameplay. I tested out the 10" but just seemed too awkward to me.
