How are dmg and dps calculated with the passive dmg/stat points?

Respec then put 1 point in passive damage? See how it affects your damage/dps stats. Try to check with and without gears I guess. That's how I checked it a long time ago.

The damage you gain on the stat screen from the damage passive is calculated as such:
Take your damage bonus % modifier and multiply it by the damage passive amount you are going to have. If you have 500% bonus damage and get +3.0 damage passive, you will effectively gain (3.0 * 5.00) = 15 damage on your stat screen.
The bonus damage % modifier increases the higher the primary stat you have. The higher the primary stat, the more you get out of damage passive.
