What gear for a 56 mage?

Okay well I just reached level 56 like an hour or so ago and I was wondering what gear should I use to be effective in pve, hardcore or just the regular. I remember reading somewhere that an arcane staff is good, so I bought one. Anything else I should get? Like for armor and a belt. I know the Rendtail ring is a must, or is it, I don't really know.

Arcane staff is just on the verge of extinction with the upcoming update with new Arcane weapons. Prices of the same are dropping like crazy! Clean staff sells for like 500k which is toooooo low for an arcane item.
I suggest not to buy any armor or helm just yet as u will get decent items (legendary) from the Ursoth event as drop offs. Arcane ring is still the most powerful individual item (not considering set items).
