This would take a lot of work but would be worth it. You could make it so people post what they are selling on PL and people can post on it what they are looking to buy and for how much gold there could be a search bar too for a certain item.
Um, isn't that call the Trade forum?

Ummm, do you mean in game? Because if you do, I think the soon to be implemented auction house would fill in the void. Good idea nonetheless.
I have a queen sized bed of Isis, from a home with no pets/smoking (and only slightly used!)

Yeah, that would be the trade forum (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/forumdisplay.php?16-Trader-s-Market)...not too sure what something with a Craigslist style would do that the forum can't...except look different.

Cascade, we see where you are coming from but what exactly is it that you can do on Craigslist that you can't in the trade forum? As Ed mentioned Craigslist IS a forum...a very BASIC forum where people post what the have, what they want for it, and where they can be reached...to me that sounds pretty darn framiliar to something we have. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the potential and ease of use you're talking about...

wait... it's coming to me.... no... no... lost it again.
I've got the blueprints for a kickass robot butler in MY mind but alas, I can't build one. Best thing to do would to get them out on paper so those who can will build it for me....
Seriously not crapping on your idea cascade as it might actually be something worth looking into. I'm just tryng to get an idea of what you're thinking (the devs would do the same since this is in the suggestion forum). Comparing it to Craigslist is pretty basic but if you've got something better in mind it be best to explain so the community can give their feedback on it.

ok so I was thinking of making it a website and you go to it and you would need to make an account first then you could see everything that people are selling. If you want something specific you could type it in which would be in the upper right. When you click on the item it will show how much gold they are selling it and the lvl req. For it ect.
Is that ok?

it sounds like you want a browser-based auction house. i think eve online just did this (allowed browser access to in-game trading).

Which ever way you look at it, you'd be wasting time implementing this given that the forum already exists and the auction house ia but a few months away, I'd rather just wait/farm for items I need, at least that's a timesink ingame :-)

What your talking about is a form based forum, where people can only enter in certain information in order to make searching easier (item types, stats, how much, etc)
I can see where you're coming from here and although it sounds like a good idea in concept, building it is another thing. In order to make ANOTHER website that people need to log into and user/password accounts need to be managed can be a PITA and people typically want everything in one place, with one login to get all of their information..in this case if you build it, people may not come.
My suggestion, until the auction house goes live, is to just stick with the simple ol' trade forum. Yeah it can be a pain to track stuff down, and when you do find it you don't know what the price is for or what stats it has..but if you ask I'm sure someone is willing to give you the answer to it...
