In my opinion, I love it in ctf, but in arena and especially FFA I don't like it... Trying to honest!

it takes a very skilled tank to beat a good mage or bird in 1vs1 pvp. But coupled with a team, 3v3 PVP its great to have a tank. Wearing tank gear often means less kills but it helps the team greatly.

Hehe I LUV FFA. its so fun to just go chargin in n killin ppl left and right.

Well, it all depends on what kind of player you want to be. Get kills or capture flags. Tanks = capturing. Other than that you have to be very skilled.
Tanks have the potential to be the strongest class, if you can use them right. Each of their skills have more than one purpose. They have lots of hidden talents in their skill that can be applicable to PvP if used correctly. Keep that in mind. How do I know? Personal experience as a tank.
