View Full Version : What to do with my Pally now?

Prior to the most recent update that lowered the stat requirements for items my Pally had just enough str to wield the best str items and then the rest was in int. I never tried dual speccing I just stayed with my str items.

But now I don't know how to build it. Should I keep it as is (str armor and str weapon)? Or maybe have a str set and an int set to switch between? Or maybe use str armor but an int weapon? Etc... (My thought is to keep the attributes as they are having just enough str to wield the best str items with the rest in int but just change the equipment around a bit)

I realize it comes down to mostly personal preference but I'd still like some input.

For pally i think dex>int after playing with alot during free respecs the little damage you get from int is meh when you can get dodge hit and crit from dex.. but if your trying to dual spec gear than idk but i honestly say str+dex >Str+int

With the new method of dual spec-ing, you may consider mixing and matching a lot of gear to best suit your aim.

There are two types of pallies, IMO.

A defense first pally and an offense first pally.

What comes to mind for a defense first pally gear setup is,

Royal Sewer Helm
Fury Sword
Royal Sewer Plate
Fury Shield

120 Str, enough Int for decent MS, and dex to improve Hit %.

For an offense first pally,

Rooter Helm
Mastermind Gemstone Wand / Rooter Sword
Rooter Plate
Fury Shield

120 Str, 120 Int, rest in dex. MS should be pretty good with 4 pieces of MS gear and int, Hit/Crit should be good with the three pieces of Rooter.

Something off the top of my head that looks good on paper :)

I honestly never though of adding dex lol. I just figured the more int the better cause it would make spells more effective. But I think I'll try out the "offense first" build not only because I prefer offense to defense but because it seems a lot cheaper too haha. Thanks for the advice.

If your are level 55 i always find players lacking in hit percents so they always miss attacks and spells. Put 120 str points into str and the rest in to dex. Take four points out of dex and add it to int for an extra m/s. You should have a hit percent of 92 instead of 80-83%

My current build gets me to around 110% hit with equipment and 2 points in dex...
