What happens to the extra experience?

When the level cap rises to 31, what happens with all the experience gained between 25-26? The required EXP to get from 25-26 goes down, say it goes from 7k to only 1k. If you had 1.5k exp when the requirement lowers and the cap rises, do you automatically go up to level 27? And if this is so, would we be better off getting the maximum amount of experience we can at 25 and then turning off exp gain, so we can advance say.. 3 or 4 levels when the cap rises by using the built up experience?

What happens to all the gained experience??

They will probably do the same thing they did with PL. You will stay 26 if your there, otherwise the exp you have will be divided by ten, 1.5k exp = 150 exp

Yeah, brick's on the money. They'll probably divide that 1.5k xp by 1/10th to make it 150. So, 150 plus however much it takes to make 26(1k, like your guestimate), and so on. Hope that helps.

Basically, there's no incentive to push to the "hardcore" level. Not ever. It's more efficient to get all your chars to 25 and then stop worrying about levels at all until they raise the level cap again. If all your chars are 25, then just play for a chance at vanity drops, or to complete your green sets if you prefer those to the plat set, or to plevel guild mates, etc.

Well, one could assume that you would get a vanity item for your efforts. They gave a vanity reward to those players in PL who grinded out that last level.

That's exactly what happened the last time they raised the cap. I believe it is 7550 to get to 26 currently, so after the cap increase it will be 755 and you'll drop to 10% of your earned xp between 25 and 26. So, if you are at 2550/7550 your new xp amount will be 255/755.

Right on the money.. been here since day 1 and that exactly what they did with lvl 20-21 cap was 5000odd cnt remem how much now... 7550 is cap for 25-26 so alot of ppl waited and lvld after update.. except me and a few other hardcore players xD
