Hunzzz Guide to Merching!!!

Many of you have suggested that i should make a Merchant Guide..so here it is!

as you may know Evolt has a guide to merchanting aswell but may be a bit too *proffessional* for people that are just starting, so im going to make one thats simple, easy to understand and most importantly.. straight forward so here goes...

First thing: Have atleast 50k starting money (most people should be able to accumulate enough)
Secondly: A key note when trying to get rich is.. DONT SPEND YOUR EARNING RIGHT AFTER YOU COLLECT!
keep in stash, good idea to put every 100k earnings in stash right after you collect, this way you wont be tempted in spending it all :p

Third /this is where the real merchanting begins: Know your items! try to memorize and learn off by heart, as many pinks and rares in game as you can as this helps you search for items in cs

basic stuff to look for while searching cs:

*do NOT attempt these leveled WEAPONS as they have too small a margin to make a profit*
Level 37 AO pinks* usually go for a good amount when it comes to merching, helms if under 10k then buy and re sale for about 1k under the lowest in cs.

level 39 pink armors helms and shields: under 10k buy and resell 1k under lowest (excluding wings)*

level 40 pink armors helms and shields: helms if under 20k buy and resell 1k under lowest/ armors under 15k. shields: eye: under 15k buy and re sell around 24800, wings: under 8k buy and place 1k under lowest: pharoah shields: under 10k buy and place 1k under lowest.*

level 41 pink armors helms and shields: helms under 10k buy and re sell around 18800-24800, shields under 10k buy and re sell around 18800-24800, armors under 10k buy and resell around 18800-24800.*

level 43 pink armors and helms and shields: armors under 8k buy and resell 12800-18800, helms under 8k same as armours. shields same as armors EXCLUDING wings.*

those are basic ao items that work mostly all the time.

now for Scaled AO3 items, they usually go for quiet a bit:

level *47* pinks:

FORTUNE!!! (DEX)
armors under 10k buy and re sell around 20k-30k depending on market.
Helmets under 10k buy and re sell around 20k-30k depending on market
Wings under 5k buy and re sell around 10k (not recommended)
weapons
/ Balista of Fortune: under 10k buy and re sell around 20-30k
/Trueshot bow of fortune: under 50k buy and re sell around 60-80k depending on market.
/Quick strike talon of fortune: under 10k buy and re sell around 15-20k

helmets under 13k buy and re sell around 18k

/limchopper of destiny: under 25k buy and re sell around 40k
/luminous harpoon: under 25k buy and re sell around 40k
/brutish battlesword not recmonded
/flickering blade: under 3k buy and re sell 8k

FATE!!! (INT)
armors under 30k-40k buy and re sell 50-70k depending on market
helms under 10k buy and re sell around 20k
eye under 10k buy and re sell around 14-18k
weapons
/Burning wand under 30k buy and re sell around 50-60k
/Blizzard stick under 40k buy and re sell 60-70k
/Nature staff under 10k buy and re sell 15-18k
/Alien staff under 20k buy and re sell 30-40k
/Nightmare staff under 10k buy and re sell 18-20k

LEVEL 45 AO3!!! (these are worth about 2 times more than the level 47s)

Those only work sometimes but keep checking CS every couple mins to snatch the best, keep in mind there are many other merchers who are watching cs constantly.

:::Rares:::
New swamp pinks can sometimes be found relatively cheap;(note all these are level 35)

Rolling pin level: under 35k buy and re sell 50-70k
Zombie/Swamp rat Fishing pole (str): under 10k buy and re sell around 20k
Copperhead/Sniper Casting pole: under 20k buy and re sell 30-35k
Frog head Staff under 8k buy and re sell 12k-15k
Frog wand: under 20k buy and re sell 40-50k
Banjo blaster (int) under 20k buy and re sell 30k
Banjo basher (str) under 10k buy and re sell around 18k
Lizard lance: under 20k buy and re sell 30-40k 50k if lucky
lizard leg: under 15k buy and re sell 20-30k

Croc Head wing: under 20k buy and re sell 30-40k
Brew (str): under 20k buy and re sell 40-50k
Juice(int): under 30k buy and re sell 50k
Hooch (dex): under 20k buy and re sell 30-40k
Washboard (str) under 15k buy and re sell 20-30k

the swamps take longer to sell than usual stuff (ao etc)

Fathom rares:
Snipers demon claw: under 100k buy and re sell 120-150k
Demon claw of finesse: under 20k buy and re sell 35-50k
Block shield of legend: under 100k buy and re sell 120-150k
block shield of the bear: under 10k buy and re sell 20-30k

Dreamers gem lightning staff: under 20k buy and re sell 30-40k (uncommon, may take longer to sell)

pick axe of legend: under 10k buy and re sell 20-30k

note all of above are level 25 and are can be obtained in Fathom Crypts Secret Passage through the sarcophagus.


Also, another tip, best to underprice items a fair amount, that way they SELL instead of being undercut by others

in time yes, there is always a market for those type of gear, everyday there are tons of new players getting level 50 dieing to get their hands on some high quality gear so i believe yes.

Hehe dosent matter how much money you have, buy something for 10k then sell for 20, turns your 50k into 60k ^-^ buy 5 things for 10k re sell for 20k ea then your 50k turns into 100k INSTANTLY ^-^!!!!!

Im prob gonna get back into merchanting later...I guess I was pretty good at it...I made a bunch...But I never could tell an exact amount of how much I had because I always had something bought and ready to sell....I was gonna make a guide to 1 slot merchanting but never got to it....

EDIT: I just read through some of those items again....But those demon claws...they dont work. I bought 1 for a twink because It was cheap (30k) and price rose to 100k. Then I found another for 38k. And now I cant get rid of them. Ive had them for a while now...Ive tried hopelessly underpricing them...its too hard....

Rofl! np :) main reason i did this was because more and more people were begging me to tell them how i do it so i figured i might aswell help the comunity out and share some tips and secrets ;)

im also in the process of making a price checking guide, since people aaalwaays come up to me and ask how much a specific item or set is worth, il make a guide specifically dedicated to price checking, it would be a great help for when im not there :D.
il keep the threads as updated as i can and try to keep everyone informed with new items and prices ^-^

Hey thanks, I never tried merching before, hope mine pays off. I bought some lvl 45 pinks awfully cheap some and they had fate etc. so I bought.. Problem is... Nobody got the ones I bought for.. So I'm trying to not lose money since I only got a few 100k from farming, hope u guys know names- whipcord helmet and leather(dex) metallic robe(int)
Question: for all farmers um how do i get fiery weapons of doom from forest haven boss gauntlet, do I need to twink? Or any lvl fine.

in terms of number of spots, it really depends how much time you want to spend merching. Merching for me is nearly as fun as playing the game to the extent that it also requires strategy, etc.
you can merch with one slot, it just takes longer. the more slots you have, the faster you can merch and become rich to the extent that you arbitrage properly buy/sell prices. I would recommend not to buy too many slots at first coz you need to really knwo the gear and pricing out there. It's easy to remember 10 items but if you are merching 50, you'll get it wrong when you start. I have 100 slots or so and that is too much (I was drunk one night and thought it was a really good idea - NOT) so basically I do two types of merching: I have about 30 slots usually for valuable stuff (rare-200k-x mil), and the rest I use for volume merching (ie lower value stuff that I need quick turn around for - so I low ball hardcore in CS just to get stock out).
