Major bug!

Huge bug. 60-61 in two minutes. I thought people were playing me, but when I tested. I was astonished. I only did it to one character for testing purposes.

Devs are gonna have a hard time finding people who used this cheat. Haven't, checked if it works but I've seen a lot of ppl on forums confirm it.
No wonder I was called a cheater when I was roaming around balefort yesterday -_-;
Please fix this devss, and people shouldn't be writing how to do it on forums, just send sts an email! Lol

Remove the instructions! Those with little time on their hands are gonna abuse this overnight. This is something that needs to be PMed directly to Justg or another Admin.

Elly's last suggestion is most sound. Sure some people who are innocent might be affected, but easier than resetting everybody in general.

I'm just hoping STS chooses the option that affects the least amount of people, some of us got to 61 legit or have not used the glitch at all, would suck to have them screwed over.

The can tell who leveled up to fast and used glitch. They back up their server routinely and can run a simple script to compare levels, pots bought and time played, hence they can discern who used it and will likely reset them to the last server backup before they used it.

I'd like to think the same thing, I mean it should be fairly simple to track who did and didn't use the exploit. Still, the issue needs to be addressed before any action can be taken. Probably too wide spread to just wave the banhammer at every offender, and some will hide behind a shield of "testing for confirmation" so time will tell. Those that tried to sell the information for in-game gain will probably not be able to defend against Justg's pimp hand; it's strong.

Lol, pimp slap! I think they can trace this easily though, I think the question would be more on how long it'll take to rack up every character that used this and resetting that character's XP.

One of the big problems as well. Another is what about all the legit XP gained? Pinks looted? Stuff traded? All that will be lost.

I don't think they will, it's too 'easy' to find to ban for. Like Gluttony said though, those that sell this technique or something may be the ones getting banned.

Goes to show you that 95 percent of people will cheat if given the chance. Shame on you all.

It's not cheating, it's "testing" or confirming the confirmed. Perhaps for the lulz, making a level 61 toon with 0 kills did cross my mind. Would make a good promo video to level a toon from 1 to 61 in minutes; kind of like how those iPhone commercials make the thing seem blazing fast, but once you get your hands on one you realize perhaps you forgot to read the disclaimer.

Edit: I'm going to friend all the 61s I can find in preperation for the reset. Will be funny to see whos stays and who goes.

There's a difference between doing it for the sake of curiosity and admitting to it versus doing it with the intent of cheating.

Roll back my two toons back to Lv 1 if you want and refund me all the platinum used on both, I don't care. Exactly why I used those two characters to try it out.

In all honesty, my first one was because I didn't believe my source, and I delayed for next. Greed got the better for me, BUT if they rolled back XP and refunded plat, I wouldn't be too upset.
