First of all, kudos to the ST team on how well SL gameplay differentiates itself from PL. I love the bits of strategy and tactics that make SL unique. E.g. Mini ambushes, and characters 'hiding' in the bushes.
My suggestion is to have a feature which encourages players to move through a level with more thought, and less "toe to toe" fighting. A character (and maybe an enemy too) should receive a slight dodge or armor bonus when right next to a rock/barrel/bush/etc... As if they were using it as cover. Skills which push/pull would also get more interesting.
I realize this might not be an easier enhancement since it doesn't appear that the ST engine manages object collision.. But heck, maybe it's doable, and worth asking for.
