I did the gold elixirs from 55-57.4 but it was still a pain. From there it took around $20 of plat to 60.
Edit: for the plat elixirs I used the 60 min combo one which is the most expensive, but you could save more $$$ just buying the xp one

College prices are redonkulous nowadays. You can just sell your superfantasticamazinglikeaboss paintings/drawings for plat!

My main is 58 and a half, and so I will attest that leveling can be done before Christmas with only gold elixirs in a surprisingly timely manner :tranquillity: For some reason shooting for 60 seems to be going a whole lot faster than getting to 55 :disillusionment:

i dont even have enough for gold elixers. saving up for some sort of good pink shield. using a lvl 55 green :P

I really only plan on getting to about 52 MAYBE without plat. From 52 I'll just be leveling up while farming, which means I really won't be paying attention to my leveling up. I might buy a little bit of plat so I can go ahead and get to at least 56. Once I pay off some stuff I'll be all gung-ho to get myself some plat. boredom other hand, I have a high tolerance for boredom so I might actually get plat from free offers. Plus I'm probably going to get Netflix some time soon and using the "free" offers, I can get 64 plat from that. That might just work for at least a few high 50's levels.
Sorry for the life story, you're a nice bunch of people and I feel like you'll read it. ^.^
