CS Policy Change: No more de-leveling characters

Hey folks,

Our CS crew has requested that we no longer de-level accounts. It was taking up an inordinate amount of their time, and has been abused by a significant amount of people.

Accordingly, we are no longer de-leveling characters. There is an option to turn off XP gain, so if you want to stay at a particular level, please ensure this is on.

Not at all, what we are saying is we will no longer take a character from 20 to 19 (for example).

I think before changes like this the studio can make an offer to change lvl once and no more times.
i personaly never know about we can do it but i thinked about being lvl 46 wouldnt be bad.

Why not just when we are going to level up (around 100xp more) there is a popout that ask us that we want to lvl up or not

So how abt i was disabled xp, currently my char is lvl 17 then i purchased a lion pet package and unfortunately I was going up 1 Lvl to lvl18,how abt this? Can u please answer.

Why isnt it possible to make a kit that delevels you and ur pets to the level you want for an amount of platinum/gold? I dont see the harm in that.. for example you lvl to 56 with a lower lvl charcter and you decide to go back because endgame was not as much fun as u thought.. then it would be nice to have something like that, otherwise you have to make a new charcter and do everything over like pets and stuff

Why not just use story quest tokens to create a new toon? It wouldn't take any time at all to reach level 5.

I think, since the level 16 arcane weapons release the requests for deleveling overwhelmed the CS.

The level 26 twinking is dead because of the Arcane weapons, now another set was introduced to level16s. Most can't afford or don't realy have the luck (or time) for an arcane weapon, so many decided to ask for deleveling (since they can't throw away hard earned pets).

So, I would agree to a deleveling kit to be introduced. Its a good solution.

It's a business. Of course they have office hours. They said straight out that people are abusing the system by making an excessive number of requests (perhaps they are also getting multiple requests per player). Every one of these takes the staff's time away from legitimate support requests, which they were hired for. STS has to pay for every hour the support staff works, and de-leveling characters because people don't want to bother leveling a new toon is not technical support at all.

It also takes very little time and zero cost for a player to level a new character to the level of the new arcane weapons (as presumably that is the target of the huge increase in requests). If they can come out with kits, great, but this is a logical business decision, not "whining like little kids". (Also, insulting the company and their staff is not a good way to get what one wants, just sayin')
