What's the difference between Reawaken and Empower?

How do i get these reawaken gems?
I see i can only get these empowered gems?

Well i read the thread made about the event and basically PTW event, you hunt portals throughtout arlor(best to run in a party as justg stated) and you and yourself only can enter a class specicific portal, Example: Mages enter Mages portal, it should tell you which portal it is before entering, the portals require 1 energy kit per entry to kill the boss that randomly drops an ingredient. Or you can just buy awakening gems for 5 plat each, not an event I'd prefer playing, I'll save my kits for halloween event, this event isn't worth it for what i read, lots of my friends wanted to run together in the event but once we found out this requires plat and we can only run by ourselves and it requires 120 ingredients(May be wrong, something about 20 per weapon) to craft a gem we changed our minds fast.

Seems like u can only empower with 5 plat kit. I used it once.

Id assume they are the same except empowered would have better odds but maybe reawaken is to reroll for more slots and empower is to reroll those slots for better stats?

Reawaken and Empower functionally do the same thing: Reroll all your enhancement slots and possibly unlock new slots. Empower gives you better chances to unlock new slots and better chances to get better enhancements.
