Arcane gun or staff

I'm a pve Mage and want to know which one would be better for me to buy all around. I have 56 belt full int gems, arcanist pendant arcane, mm main pet nekro in AA, dragon stone full int gems, pretty good armour and help thanks for the help guys

Guns usually have more damage than staff, so gun.

Gun have the whole long distancd advantage to them, and I also tend to think their proc comes faster, maybe just me?

I used to be all about guns, now just staffs. For pve I'd way rather hit 3 for good damage opposed to hitting one for great damage. Generality is guns do more damage and staff more dps, vs mobs use staff vs boss or for pvp gun.
I wouldent call the immo staff useless vs hex due to the added health and other stats, but hex is great for its price.

I don't doubt that, wildfire is still very effective even after its nerf.
Personal choices, sometimes you have a lot of red zones to run from and guns are great.
If I wasn't cash poor at the time I never would have sold my hexstaff. Might even buy another they're so good

I agree. There are many situations(like not having a good tank) which you have to run and spam skills without being able to hit with staff. The gun would be perfect in that case.

Dex gives extra crit and damage. If you have enough survivability go for it.

I like gun. True dmg is lower, but the range is great for bosses and kiting.

I use gun personally because it looks cooler. Lol. But it is also good for bosses and single target damage. :D
