View Full Version : PvP is only played on Blood Beach

Since blood beach came out no one really uses the other maps. (End game not sure about twinks). Personally PvP is getting boring since you can get spawned in blood beach. I've been killed back to back instantly on spawn. If there is people in CTF is just guildies flagging and if u interrupt they call and gang you.
It's getting kind of boring doing the same PvP map all the time..

Or they could improve the ctf and trulle maps to make them also played, personally trulles forest is ruined by the trulle because he interrupts the gameplay, maybe STS should add the option to have the trulles forest with/without trulle

Also the ctf map is just too compact for pvp & as a result the blood beach map is being played only

Yea blood beach is awesome! We just need a new CTF room for there to me motivation to play CTF. Before blood beach came most players played CTF and trulle forest was not as popular since trulle always got annoying.

The purpose of CTF is supposed to be to play CTF, not to have clashes. As I've been suggesting for a couple of years now, if STS were to add a wins/losses column to our stats, and give achievements for wins, then players would actually play the game of capture the flag as it should be played.

Or perhaps CTF should be a category of these guild battles that are coming. That would be cool too. Who cares how many kills each player has, the winning team is the first one to 5 flags!

Ik CTF should be played right but everyone free flags if u interrupt u get ganged or "I'm just flagging chill"

The other reason is, CTF takes 5 players...so 10 players in total to play. TDM is much less.

We use CTF for arranged 5v5 match. But yea less people plays here now (L14)

CTF is dead... wait for battleground. Blood beach gonna be also dead till players don't get bored of Battleground or till master go sleep [emoji14]

Agreed and also, for any team game, the reward or score should be for the whole team, and not just individual. Team incentives encourage team play.


The current CTF/LB System is somewhat flawed precisely because the game is apparently a team-game but the incentives are individual scores(kdr/goals) and LB, which takes the focus away from the "team" and puts it on self.

I posted this suggestion a long time ago, but here are a few things that could help encourage real CTF games:

1) Add Wins/Losses statistics to everyone's stats under the CTF category.

2) The team that reaches 5 goals first wins the game. Everyone on the winning team when the game ends receives a win in their stats. If you were on the winning team but left the game before the end, you do NOT get a win. This will make sure that players do not abuse the system by rotating all their friends in and out of the game so everyone can receive a win.

3) Everyone who plays on the losing team, whether you are there at the end or not, receives a loss in their stats. This will encourage players not to leave the game when their team is losing since they will still get a loss. Also, this will discourage blockers, as the blocker would receive a loss as well.

I'm sure there are some other things that would help as well, but this would be a good start.

I don't mind Blood Beach, however I do find the spawns pretty precarious. What if the level was made a bit larger and spawns were random like in Trulles Forest or a bubble was applied upon respawning like in ctf. Might quell some of the spawn killing
