I used to be on quite often, almost everyday in fact, but as Hellcharger. But due to circumstances irl, I have had little or no chance to get on recently.
You all need to remember two things (lest you forget):
1. SG's, yes although some may view us as social leaders, we have no responsibilities that fall on us.
Nope, none whatsoever. :) shocking isn't it. We do not have to be on everyday, we do not need to represent our SG/Guardian 'status' that many perceive we have, and we do not have to go out of our way to help someone in need. I am not saying we shouldn't, many of us do these anyways, not because we were given the title, but because we have been doing it before.
2. We are human. Meaning we are affected by circumstances the same way any other gamer would be. Timezones makes it that many are on at different times, real life situations makes it so that game times are limited, oh and course someones attitude towards us affects the way we act towards them.

'Its a program to recognize players who are cool, helpful people'. Many people in game don't even know what Starguards are, and when they hear about it, they don't realize we do not have any responsibilities/powers. In the end we're the same as every other.
Id be happy if there ever is a program specific to SGs and Guardians. But with the current AoA/AoB, there is not much need for support programs. I would write more, but my bus just arrived. Bai bai

As my buddy just stated, "thz bro", and for likely candidates, stay positive and stay active, but help abit more then an average joe. Yes we all have our differences, our hopes and lives, but devs want to see community bonding for the most part. Do you see a bug....report it, do you see a fight break out...help dissolve it. Do you have an idea that could be really positive that everyone would benefit? then do it. That what being a guardian is all about, its like AoA or AoB, but this is going out of your way, even if it takes months to accomplish. At the end of the day, many ppl think this is useless program, that's because most of them don't have anything nice to say, or anything they are willing to ever do to help folks. The goal is to "Stay positive" and help others in your own way. This is what separates SG/GoA from any other program.

As for me, im busy helping in DL. Trying to help with scam-artists, giving tips, and being an overall cool player. its like having your best friend always there to help. "just send me a PM"
I will play SL, every now and then. But my goal is to help with new player experiences so the friends you make in-game can stay that way. :D

It's not all about doing all of those. Sure those are great, but to actually get yourself notice, you have to be active on forum and be a great active/helpful member of STS forum :) (being an all around awesome and helpful person pretty much :p). If you do this STS devs might take note and you just might join the rank of Star Guard soon.

Last time i saw star guard in SL when level cap was something like 31. I can be new star guard i am very visible (everybody knows me)
