Now vanity's i love...and nice if they are like a leprechaun..random chance, anywhere in game...I would just die from playing.
Might kill the market, but theirs a 50/50 chance it could help.

other legends titles...like..PL,SL,DL..have random drops that were like a surprise..tobad AL isnt like that.
I play older levels because newer levels are to hard for me...meaning it takes away from the fun..so i stick to what is fun :)

There is so many good vanities on the game restricted to few peoples who call you "noob" if you don't buy their vanities for 30millions gold! When i imagine the work you put on them and when i see how they are sell i can only cry. It would be anwsome if we will have like the "forebearer" ( or something like ) of the first forum event because it was given at a minor part and most of them left the game. The halloween vanities leaderboards should be more common too! I understand all leaderboards gears UNTRADEABLE but not those Tradeables because the owners arent all the originals winners..so the sens is loosed :)

Well, i spent quite a lot on vanities too, if 10m is what u spent, i spent pretty much more than you, but whats life if you dont go through sadness and regrets? Sts is telling us now they are giving us a taste of life! So dont cry and put a smile on that face of yours XD

Or, you could look at it from STS's perspective. Currently, w/o an event the majority of the farming community just farms KM3. In KM3, you would be good to get 60k an hour, and that's being generous. All of the overpriced vanities are completely out of reach for almost everyone in the game atm. Adding the thief would probably drop the price enough to put some of the graphics department's greatest works in reach to more than the 0.1 percent of the game.

Also, to everyone wanting this to happen, be realistic. I guarantee you that if this event does come the major vanities (Golem/Frank/Yeti/Medusa etc) would be like the arcane eggs of the Egg-Zavior event. They won't be easy to come by, meaning they aren't going to be at a stupid low, especially because of how sought after they are.

We're not totally evil, we're not out to get you, and we want the same things, where everyone enjoys the event (and we also make a little profit, since we are a company, after all).

STS can make huge profit if they add plat merch or something like that with these events.
Each events can only be a bless for the game because there is so many aspects and personnal achievements that you can't fill them all. The challenge and the pleasure is always intact.

Yes! Lol I even stick to wearing my watchamacallit white valentines robes just because I tend to like white the most on my toon. And it's cheap and common! It's just like these new vanity names. They're nothing without the character of the player that owns them.

Vanity items are the only limited items left in game ( referring to the leaderboard rewards). y'all see an opportunity to get ur hands on a sweet vanity that is unplayable for the most of u. No.

Vanity does not need to be a thing. It's a goal that does not hinder your progress in game at all. It is healthy for the game to have goals. A vanity will not increase your stats or make you stronger, so there's no real reason for it. The only reason why it would be there is to show there's nothing left worth attaining in the game. I do not own any of the exclusive vanities, however, there should be no reason for this.

Yes, a handful of accs including banned have best designed vanities on game.
Maybe multiple tiers of thief starting from casual (steel heraldic, etc) to top-tier (lb) so lb ones wont crash to 5k but wont be 40m either.

Yep, JustG already said it's not happening. If they're going to do it, leave exclusive vanities out. There's simply no reason for this except to satisfy people who want everything handed to them without any goals.

The thing is those "Leaderboard vanities" such as the Halloween ones are actually the best designed items of the game. Their details are incredibles and at the first look we notice the PASSION and the TIMES needed to release them.

Sadly, these perfects vanities losed their anwesomness because they are TRADEABLES.

It's perfectly a shame for the game and the players that these items REWARDED became a warfront for rich players and logical that the Arlorians want own them since they are tradeable and so the sad treasure of a few peoples ( most of them are indo.. I guess ).
It mean, most of the time their originals owners sold them to few peoples.

Then, it's very understandable that a minority of experienced players who is probably the majority of peoples who post on the forum and aren't agree want keep their "wons".

But, in conclusion, we aren't talking of veterans rewards such as founder's on Pocket Legends or tabard's pack at 30platinums for the ones who helped build the game neither untradables banners but right of TRADEABLES vanities.

Not everyone who owns an exclusive items are market controller.....
Some just collect it because they are unique.

I have to add that too: if Léonard de Vinci reproduce his painting, the painting will keep a hight value but maybe a "lil" less because it's Léonard de Vinci himself! In the case of Leaderboards vanities, the design as "Leaderboard" prices will keep them a hight value. But of course we are on a game so the plat price for one set is the most important to protect their value ( or a restricted drop ) exactly like De Vinci can't produce 1000 painting so he sell them at a high price.

It doesn't matter, it still takes away value from the vanities that existed. If you didn't earn the vanities during that moment in time, it is now a goal for you to save up and buy one. If you do not, it does not in any way hinder your game progression.

Not really, I was able to run and earn them platinum free. So were some of my other friends. It's not something the game needs and would just anger loyal players. Those who do not have them can EARN them - they are not hindered game progression wise at ALL. There are plenty of other vanities that can make you look cool that aren't obscenely expensive.

What does equality have to do with any of this? If you want it so bad do what the rest of us that didn't do those LB runs did... go earn some gold and buy it. Let's talk more in lines of fairness, cuz I'm sick and tired of seeing all those people that put in time and resources to make those lb runs have their hard work diminished by whiny kids that just want everything handed to them.

I didn't put in the time or effort to make those lb runs so I had to buy mine. I didn't have the time to compete on the lb therefore I do what I was good at to obtain these rare vanities. I merched, farmed, and saved till I was able to afford one. When I was finally able to purchased one, I felt a sense of overwhelming accomplishment. Try it sometimes, you might actually enjoy that feeling...

Furthermore, these vanities have no affect on the game play of AL as expressed by Zeus. Vanities are strictly based on perceptions, what you might perceived as awesome, others might not care for. I have friends that would not spend a single gold on these "awesome" vanities.

But you are right, the painting is UNIQUE and UNSELLABLE but the Halloween Vanities are MANY and SELLABLE (to keep the same word). You see now the rapport and what i mean?
I have to add that too: if Léonard de Vinci reproduce his painting, the painting will keep a hight value but maybe a "lil" less because it's Léonard de Vinci himself! In the case of Leaderboards vanities, the design as "Leaderboard" prices will keep them a hight value. But of course we are on a game so the plat price for one set is the most important to protect their value ( or a restricted drop ) exactly like De Vinci can't produce 1000 painting so he sell them at a high price.

If you started 3 months after PL, that would make me older. These vanities do not cause an issue of equality. They do not alter stats. Therefore there's no equality issue to be seen. Those who've purchased the vanities have earned them fair and square.

You should not expect equality for things that are vanities. There is never going to be equality, there will be only equal opportunity. Response to this thread. It isn't happening. Please, go earn the vanity that you want. If you can earn 2-3 million, then you can also earn 20-30 million for the truly exclusive vanities. By the way, 2-3 million gets you very nice looking vanity combos. If it's not the one you want, then you save up more. That is the entire point of playing an MMO.

For YOU, 2-3 million is a good price. For OTHERS, it is not. The price and the entire idea is subjective. As shown by the developer quote, I highly doubt they are going to piss their long term veterans off by re-releasing vanities that have nothing to do with character advancement.

2-3 millions was a subjective guess and a part of one of my posts. I'm glad at least, you took the time to reply and explain all things about this subjective price.

But the main subject is these "Leaderboard" vanities are tradeable.

In short:
Like i said, for exemple, this last days Frank mask was at about 1m400k on the Consignement Shop when medusa and ghost aren't on the same line.
Because he have a flat and "ugly" head; but nice designed like on the movie!

It shows what? This isn't the Leaderboard mention but right the design of those vanities that interest the peoples.

Tradeables for what? Maybe to protect them from the eternal sleep!
We can think, with reasons that: for those vanities stay on a "closed circle" the few hightly richs will try to own them all so their price will even increase. Or just for selfishness.
This is crazy thoughts ( but probably true.. ) and i'm not entirely agree with that but just to shows things on another point of view.

So make the mention tradeable ensure them to be protect and allow to release them on the future.
Their design is unique and is very differents of the "casuals" vanities, it's flagrant.

No problem would be solved: When Delphina showcased the new red jester everyone got crazy. After everyone had one on the first day, all stopped caring. It is not about the look, but about the rarity and uniqueness in game. And that, you can never have for all players.

There is differences between events Jesters and Leaderboard vanities:
- First, these jesters have been availables at differents events.
-Second, they have the same design of commons vanities ( they are two with differents prices ) but a different colour, this colour make the difference as a rare vanity.

Finally, we can understand that if event Jesters are rare it's because the purpose, the interest of the jesters collection lie with the idea of the differents colours. The purple one is a special edition of Jesters to make their owners differents of the others same owners.

When i'm talking about the Leaderboard vanities, i speak about them as a lover of the game.
I don't want own them for myslef, like i said, i sold the medusa set ( for 3m ! Yes 3millions. ) and the Frank mask. I will do a better use of my income to start more characters or try other aspects of the game like the pvp.
So if you consider those vanities as a challenge right, it's up to you! I hope not many peoples consider the same thing!!

We can all speculate on what this means for us but getting rid of the value of old vanities means newly released vanities will have more value and more purchases (a bonus for sts).

We can all speculate on what this means for us but getting rid of the value of old vanities means newly released vanities will have more value and more purchases (a bonus for sts).

STS aren't greedy, they want more peoples to enjoy their game; we saw it with last events. The prices of these vanities aren't the right and i'm sure they will fix it one time or another because Leaderboard tradeables items, even vanities without any variants mean to be release later.
They also understood that: peoples like all the game aspects and the best thing to thanks them and give a long-live to the game ( with a well deserved business ) it's to spread the fun and "touch the hearts". They are working for evolution, more contents and their best strenght: events.
They understood how it work and they do it very well.

Pocket Legends was a mix of the same designs, because of their success, on Arcane Legends it's all the other side they are able to build. They are building an unique MMORPG with awesome and availables designs.

Many of us also worked as horses to get gear and pets and all the rest....and very very fast it became useless... So get use to it i guess cause what sts doing for some time now...nothing more surprises me only making me more and more bored in game

Blazerdd, i'm very agree with you.

STS can make huge profit if they add plat merch or something like that with these events.
Each events can only be a bless for the game because there is so many aspects and personnal achievements that you can't fill them all. The challenge and the pleasure is always intact.
as G said only "little profit they make" and i sense soon itll be even less hehehe
And another thing they said about they always made plat sales 1-2 times per year.... Hmmmm i remember time when plat sales were always after big events... That i remember perfectly...and now they hide it like snake its legs hehehe

A couple of things:

1) This is not even on the horizon, so don't sweat it for now.

2) There are a ton of vanities in the game, not just leaderboard ones. IF we ever do a vanity thief, we won't just give away what people have worked so hard for.

3) Anyone who says they will quit if we do this or that gets a time out. We don't like threats and are sure you can communicate in a more mature fashion. Use your adult words.
