Gonna go light or dark?

Being that we need to have both sides for the next expansion I wonder how balanced the two sides will be?
Initially I immediately thought gimme damage duh, now I wonder if nearly everyone would also want the added damage of the dark side.
Then again they said no planned changes on rogue so maybe their intent is that most would go for defense to compensate.


What do you lean towards? I'll keep a tally on this post just out of curiosity.

Im more of a defensive type of player. Im a mage but i focus really on survivability. Since there are normally 4 players in a map, dealing damage isn't really much of a concern. But being able to survive will surely help the party (heal, sheild, buff).

Most logical for sure. I hope they do release all differences so that changing your mind isn't such a burden. They say you can change your mind if your willing to start over, whatever that means.

If I'm reading the announcements correctly it seems it won't. JustG uses the phrase "within the mausoleum"
But- a lot hasn't been revealed.

I think I would go for the light because mages are still kinda squishy. I hate dying so much.

It *should* work in pvp, but idk if it will. I hope devs realize that it would add significant excitement to the coming expansion. You need all the excitement and hype you can get, devs.

I think STS will make loot from the light side have a better drop rate than the dark side. This to counter everyone going all damage rather than defence. Dark side loot prolly drop like antignome set rate.

Honestly at first, I thought who wouldn't pick damage and that would create an imbalance for pugs (I only pug) and it would be hard, but seeing ppls responce it's pretty even so I'm surprised.

I'm a Rogue, I'm leaning towards taking the defense offered in light. Right now, survivability is crappy with out my anitgnome set in underhul. If new content is even harder, I'm going to really need some protection.
