Is it just a bug problem or something else?

I tried to log in, and after it identifies me and loads up PL (waxing elf ears part), it stops at authenticating. Is it my app problem or is it 'something else'?

It happens to me too. And it's not something uncommon. "Stuck on authenticating" threads appear often :) It'll soon be fixed (I hope)

Generally, this is due to the pl server being down. So it is not a bug or problem with your client

Issue began occurring at 8:50pm EDT. N/K time when server(s) will be back online. Read to your kids, talk to your spouse, shoot hoops, and get out in the sun. It's gonna be awhile.
