Description:
The End-Game Guild Wars CTF Tournament

No of Teams: 16
Type: Single Elimination
Description: Level 55-61 Pocket Legends Capture the Flag style, PvP Tournament
Castle Keep Away

How to Join:
--Get 5 friends to create a team of 5 AND 1 SUB (Sub is not madatory but highly recommended.) All members must be posted, we don't want changing of teams/subs. You must continue to use the same character, no switching to alternates in or during the entire spread of this tournament.
--Go to the Competition section and create your team (please keep the names and slogans clean, thanks)

--Registration has now officially closed!!!

When to play
--Matches need to be completed and a screencapture posted on the forums within 7 days of the previous; the team that shows the least effort in getting together for the match will be DSQ'd.
--At the end of the match you MUST take a screencapture of the score
--Post the screencapture of the score of the match to the Tournament thread.

Scorekeeping
--We'll keep track of the tournament via the Competition tracker.
--First team to get ten flag captures wins.
--We'll do our best to put teams from the same guild as far away as possible, or at least make sure you don't play your guild the very first round. In order to qualify for this all members must be tagged under the same guild, if one or more are not you will be considered seperate and not be placed apart.

RULES:

1) Keep it clean.
2) Beginning the match before both sides are accounted for and agree to go will void the match.
3) Games must be passworded and agreed to be official by both parties.
4) First team to get 10 captures wins and advances so long as proof of the match is submitted to the forums under this thread. If unable to capture a screen shot, the opposing side must verify the match.
5) Once the match has begun their will be no switching of players at all, even the sub UNLESS the other side permits the sub to fil in for the lost player during a match.
6) The match must go to ten regardless of the opponents score, quitting an official match once started will result in a forfeit.
7) All matches must be played on the same map which is 5/5 Castle Keep Away
8) Do not enter the spawn room of the other team for purposes of spawn killing. Spawn killing is grounds for disqualification. (if a bear pulls u in try to exit immediately.)
9) You are not allowed to leave your base unless the match has begun.

Prizes!!!!
--For the finalist team, 100 plat per team member. The sub will receive the same prize.
--For both the finalists and semi-finalists, Orange Antennae.

Misc/Restrictions:
**Please only two teams per guld MAX, unless this does not fill up by (September 27)**
**We have waived the entrance fee, in interest of getting this thing going, 100 plat is more than enough, eh?**
**Teams must be 100% separate(can't have a player play on both teams), but subs may sub for more than one team. Subs may NOT play again in the round on any team after playing once**

To clarify. Automated meaning they were generated at random. However since unity 2 is not a team (since they forfeited) and they were placed in the first bracket (another bye team) making only three real teams it was moved so a real team could take its place.
Other question, it will be at the discretion of the two teams with first round byes to play now or wait. Since my team plays yours after the "bye" we can discuss when we play, either way there will be some waiting before the teams in the second bracket get done.

Check line up of unity 2, there isnt a team. Ive asked for an entire week for you guys to get it registered correctly to no avail. Unities lack of effort/cooperation caused the first bracket to only have three teams. So it was moved to the second bracket in place of a real team.
How is that fishy? It was generated automatically, and IF Unity 2 had a line it, it would have been placed in the first bracket.

Consider this your first round match and go ahead and play it. Since there are only 4 teams in our bracket and we would only win twice to play our final, I am thinking of having both winners play the person the other team defeated. Simply bc other feel it unfair that we get there sooner.

I didnt do it to make it unfair to you... It automatically randomized a bracket. Ive explained this a few times before. You haven't even played your first match,one step at a time. It you feel playing unity is unfair I don't know what you were expecting from this tournament. There are tough teams but it is a competition

We're really excited to see how this tournament plays out. We had a lot of fun with the first 5 v 5 CTF tournament and we are looking at making this a regular event with some awesome custom vanity prizes (not just antenna!).

The double elimination IDEA is only a suggested SUGGESTION since our bracket is so thin. I am hearing a lot of complaints over fairness. So all it was meant to do was give the first bracket another match.

I understand where you're coming from, but DTF doesn't have the sole power here. If Sam sees anything he doesn't like, he can change it; remember, he's the one supplying the prizes, not DTF. WRT changing lineup, I can't say I really like it, but would you rather have byes all the way to the finals? This hasn't really turned out to be as great as we were expecting. First it takes forever to get people to sign up, and then many teams went inactive or split up.

Brilliant Dominance (Rev2) vs Pantheon:
Panteon failed to make their second agreed upon time last night of 12 am pacific time (midnight) All 6 members of Rev 2 were on and available, they waited three full hours and three was the most amount ever on. Brod showed but left, Godofra and mothersolo were complete no shows.
If this match isnt played by 12 noon my time (us central) which is the deadline, Rev 2 wins by default.
As for Berg Rage and Daantejhs team, neither team showed any effort in making their match. Unity may need to play any of the three teams that did not get their matches in (berd rage, pantheon, daants team) to advance to play winner of New Age Legends vs Brilliant Dominance.
Severed is scheduled to play Bodyguards on Saturday, the winner faces Revelation.
Sorry this hasnt been s glorious turn out. We are doing our best to get matches in and played so bare with me.

1) Alwaysdtf is NOT "running" this tournament and SHOULD be able to play and support his guild because 90% of this is done by the wonderful feature of competitions. Dtf doesn't choose the bracket, Samhayne sends us pm's and notifications. Dtf is a big part but not everything, great job dtf on this tourney!
2) True, we hav made changes to our line-up and alwaysdtf allowed it. Why does that make us allowed to do that and not others?
