Help needed

To get straight to the question...
Can anyone tell me what the current best gear and weapon is for a level 61 mage? (PVE) I'm so confused about what i should buy or not... Like are the arcane guns and staffs (lvl56) better then the legendary 61 guns and staffs? much appreciated!

Buy 61 assault gears and Brut staff
Belt ring and ammy can still be used from last cap till you loot something or but with coin
The new 61 gears give soooo much armor for smurfs
I'm excited to see what the better gears are gonna look like

What belt, ring and amulet would you recommend?

Edit: I saw today and a few days back some smurfs with over 2k dmg. How's that possible?

Arcane ring brilliance belt and planar pend (61 gears give alot more damage but you lose HP)until you get good 61 gears bro and just look at the damage from staff bro it will put you at almost 2K by itself
