Hey All. This isn't a coming or going thread, and it has to do with Pocket Legends so it is not off topic, but I won't be playing PL much for a little while. See the thing is, I got new Oakley Prescription Glasses four weeks ago. I started to notice I couldn't focus on words far away and couldn't get my work done. I just got back from the Optometrist for the second time, and she told me I have extreme eye strain. That would be the reason I can't see normal, I have been focusing on my iPhone's Screen for 9 straight months. Now I have an appointment for eye therapy and after that is all over, hopefully I will be on PL more. I am not leaving by far and will still be on everyday, just at a happy-medium time limit. :hopelessness:

Just play less, and remember to blink. It does not take a doctor to tell you that squinting at a small screen for hours at end is bad for your eyes. Regardless, hope your eyes get better.

I've played so long before that my eyes wouldn't be able to focus on anything for quite a while. I'm curious as to the long term effects of frequent mobile gaming, especially MMO's where you might get wrapped up for a whole day or seven. Lol.

All jokes aside, I think it would be a good idea to have a warning under the running man (loading screen in SL) something along the lines of "Remember to take a small break every now and then to avoid vision discomfort when playing on small screened devices". I've heard this happening to a few people now, and especially because a fair bit of younger people play and their parents might not be aware of the fact their kids are staring at a 4 inch screen for hours on end, and the kids might not be concerned about their vision til they have trouble seeing the chalkboard in class. It seems like a no-brainer to me, being able to see is more important than grinding.

I think the devs will probably implement something like this for two reasons..

- Most videogames have a vision/epilepsy warning at the start of their games

- STS cares about their fans and players, and a player that doesnt go near sighted from playing will probably play more in the long run.

Has anyone beside W.E. and me had vision troubles after extended play?

That's exactly what happened to me...the first few weeks after getting an apple product,, I noticed I couldn't see far...I'm going to get glasses soon :(
